This isn’t just any old boring fruitcake…this is Mrs. Claus’ holiday fruitcake cookies made with love from the holiday inn oven and bursting with fruity sweetness! This rooibos blend is laced with vanilla, cherries, orange peel and a dash of sweet cinnamon and maple for a festive cuppa that’s a feast for the eyes and the tummy!

Ingredients: Rooibos, Vanilla, Apple, Orange Peel, Hibiscus, Rosehips, Cherries, Canadian Maple, Cinnamon, Red Cornflower and Calendula Petals

Handcrafted in Toronto, Canada.

Steeping instructions: 2 tea spoons at 212F for 4-6 mins

Fun concept, but the cup was a little bit flat/dull and the fruity notes lacked clarity. It sort of just tasted like you took a generic tart fruit tea and poured it into a cup of straight rooibos. I think more care could have been taken to find ways to blend the base and the additional flavours together more harmoniously.

Trying to finish off my last couple of Dessert by Deb pouches from the winter collection. I think it’s just one more left after this, and then I have a mini tin somewhere from the last subscription box.

This one is fine. It’s a decent balance of woody (but not medicinal) rooibos, fruity-tart hibiscus, and a touch of cinnamon. It doesn’t somewhat taste like some kind of coffee cake or other spiced dessert, but certainly not like a fruitcake. Nice enough to sip on, but nothing special.

Wasn’t expecting to like this, because rooibos, but it’s actually pleasantly sweet and not too bad. I can’t really place the flavours (may have compromised my tastebuds with garlic again), it’s just kind of sweet, sticky fruits.
