Advent Calendar from Kaylee: Day 22

I shared a pot of this one with my mom just before Christmas, and she enjoyed it — she’s usually pretty ambivalent about tea. It’s heavy on the spices, particularly the ginger and allspice. It definitely doesn’t scream “cookie” to me and I’m not getting much almond, but it’s still a robust and flavorful wintery blend.

Made this as an iced latte and it tastes like a less delicious version of ginger creme brulee. The ginger is real strong and burnet but then I don’t get much else. The weird heavy sweet note a lot of Deb’s teas have that stop the flavour from being rounded out properly. Overall, not a favourite in the least.

Oof, not a fan of this one… I think it was from my October subscription box?

The ginger is the dominant flavor, which doesn’t make it very cookie-like. I do taste a little bit of the almond flavoring, but it doesn’t mesh well with the earthiness of the dried raw ginger. Not really getting cinnamon or vanilla.

It’s not for me. Into the rehoming box it goes!
