From Della Terra Teas

Cinnamon… snaps, crackles and… is that… a pop? IT IS! Our Cinnamon crackle tea reminds of a Hot Tamale candy with a hint of vanilla. Listen close as you pour your water, you’ll hear a bit of a pop, a snap and a crackle! That is because we’ve mixed in some pop rocks! It not only adds a slight sweetness but a fun POP! right as you pour the water over the tea. This tea is delicious, try it cold as well. Absolutely delicious!

soooo no poprocks that i can see or hear. Sadly this tastes like every other cinnamon sort of tea out there. rest of this going into my swap box since i can do without since there are better out there if i REALLY want a cinnamon tea.

Hmm, I’m not feelin’ this one. I was hoping for serious cinnamon flavor, but it’s just not there. In fact, before adding sugar I could barely taste anything at all. After the sugar there is a faint cinnamon taste, and the base tea is there but it’s weak. No vanilla. There wasn’t even the crackle from the pop rocks. I am disappoint.

Tea #11 from the Here’s Hoping TTB

I’ve been a bit burned out on Della Terra teas lately, they’re all starting to taste so similar that I did the unthinkable and didn’t order a single tea from the holiday collection. Wait, that’s a lie, I ordered Eight Candles, I just haven’t tried it yet. Even if I’m burned out, I am glad this tea came my way.

This tea makes me feel like I’m in 4th grade again since pop rocks were what all the “cool kids” brought to school for snack time. Yup, I am definitely a product of the 80s :) I wonder if kids today even know what pop rocks are? I’m going to try hard not to think about that, it just makes me feel old.

This really is such a fun tea and it makes me long for a roaring fire, but sadly we don’t have a fireplace or woodstove. I think this should be a crime in Wisconsin, but I guess I’ll live. The cinnamon gives me a nice warm glow, which is much needed this time of year. I can’t really taste the black base, most of the flavor of this tea is from the poprocks and cinnamon; they give the tea an almost too sweet flavor. While some people might find this tea a little gimmicky (I know I do) I think it’s fun and fits the season perfectly.

I wish there had been more of this tea so I could try it out as a latte, but sadly this tea won’t be continuing on, I finished off the last little bit.

Here’s Hoping Traveling Tea Box #6
Wow this one is so close to the red hot candies! I don’t like those candies or big red gum :/ this was a good tea. I had to add milk though so I could get the creamy cinnamon instead of the hot cinnamon. It was yummy as a latte! Unfortunately there was no pop rocks in the whole bag:/

I had this a day or two ago, it was my first tea upon returning from the dead, and it was the tea I was most excited about. Boy, did it live up to expectations. This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a cinnamon tea. Everything. The spicy cinnamon, the smooth vanilla…guh. This is why I have tins of Hot Lips, Cinnamon Chai Rooibos, and Cinnmon Heart in the house, because I wanted them all to taste like this tea. I need to try all of the other teas in my samplers quickly so I can order a metric ton of this beauty. This is my dream tea.

I still can’t seem to find a cinnamon tea I like. This one is alright, and the pop rocks are interesting. Otherwise, I prefer cinnamon as a spice.

Ah, this warmed me right up this morning. It’s pretty sweet but that suits me just fine. It went well with breakfast and was just a nice little pick-me-up on a crappy, snowy Monday morning. Hope everyone enjoys their day (I’ve got a concert tonight so I know I will!) and stays safe, especially those impacted by the winter storm.

Thank you jessiwrites for another awesome sample!

Whoa. The scent of cinnamon nearly blew me away when I opened up this treasure.

Lately everything with a ton of cinnamon just smells like cinnamon hearts to me. Not that I’m complaining, they’re delicious. Just making an observation.

This one’s quite lovely. Leaves a nice heat from the cinnamon.

I received a very generous sample of this from my Secret Pumpkin! I’m trying to get rid of a cold at home and hoping that adding extra spice will clear out some of the ickiness I’m dealing with. Della Terra doesn’t seem to sell this anymore but I think it was available last fall?

I used 2.5 teaspoons in my 16oz steeping mug and steeped for the recommended 2-3 minutes (well 3 actually). I added a touch of sweetener though the blend contains pop rocks.

I’m not a huge fan of cinnamon, but as a child when my mom let me, I absolutely loved Big Red gum and this is pretty darn close. I might be losing a bit of the flavor due to said cold but I can definitely feel a bit of burn on the roof of my mouth!

This tea smells so delicious I want to eat it. The dry tea smells like sweet cinnamon candies, like hot tamales or hot lips. My favorite. I love cinnamon. The dry tea has a strong scent of cinnamon spice as well.

While brewing I did not hear any popping or snapping, which was disappointed. I even put my ear close enough to burn it on the steam from the tea. Oops. I’m OK.

The brewed tea smells of sweet cinnamon, spicey cinnamon, a hint of vanilla, maybe kind of nutty.

The tea tastes delicious. Ther is more of a sweet cinnamon taste and not so much a spicey taste. The sweetness is not overpowering. There is a hint of vanilla. I was a little disappointed it was not as spicey as I thought it would be. I love cinnamon spice, and occaisionally will just chew on a cinnamon stick. But in saying that, this is a delicious, well blended tea. I am sure it will now be one of my many favorites.
