The “Freshly Picked” collection is one of my favourite reoccuring seasonal themes each year; I just love that shift from high iced tea season flavours to the more autumnal feels. This year, there’s not a lot of new teas in the collection – mostly returning blends. I’ll write a tasting note about the one brand new tea at some point, but for now I wanted to focus on Strawberry Moringa since it’s gotten an update!

I know that a lot of people hate when blends change/get updated and I could go on a looongggg tangent about my conflicted feelings about that – though I’m not going to right now. I’m hoping, however, that this is a change people will like. Simply put, we took the OG Strawberry Moringa and converted it into an organic blend. It just seemed to make sense for this blend. We really, really wanted to keep the spirit/flavour profile of the blend that people know – and I think we were successful in that. I find this update just a bit more tart strawberry and a little less sweet, but overall really similar. Like, to the point of not being able to taste a difference if you’re not directly comparing. So fingers crossed that other people feel the same way too.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
