My throat has been just so slightly sore the last few mornings when I’ve gotten up that I’ve had that weird “Oh, is this is a cold coming on!?” feeling only for it to disappear within a couple hours. It’s very strange, but has prompted a couple good early morning cuppas of some more soothing citrus blends because of course hot lemon tea is the usual go to when I feel like maybe I’m under the weather.
This is a really pleasant one because it’s just got such a well rounded lemon flavour. It’s bright and sunshine-y with pops of tartness and acidity but then finishes on the palate much more round and sweet like a good lemonade. The cooling minty undertones add dimension and draw out more natural sweetness and it’s honestly just one of my favourite lemon/mint combinations. I do prefer it cold but in this circumstance the lemon as a hot steep was pretty soothing and felt healthful even if it might now have actually been doing anything.
Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
