From DAVIDsTEA

This limited edition blend combines sweet apple, beet and licorice root with zingy rhubarb and spicy ginger and cinnamon. Not to mention a kick of energizing black tea.

Sipdown! 175/365!

I find it very odd that this wasn’t present on Steepster already. My packet is from July 24, 2014, when I believe I was logging teas, and I’ve definitely drank this before. Roswell Strange – any insight? Did this have a name change or something? (Or did I just fail to find the right entry?)

Anyhow, I’ve started the long process of trying to make a tea spreadsheet, again. I’m currently at 261 entries (some are different packages of the same tea) – and that’s just from the DavidsTea bins. I’ve also separated out all the single-cup samples and put them in a box, and am playing DavidsTea roulette! This is the first random tea I picked from that box.

Roulette is probably the only way I would have gotten to this tea. It is… not a favourite. Cinnamon and ginger with that gross, sweet, licorice aftertaste. Yuck. Not sorry it’s gone!

Pretty sure Hot Mama was the OG name of this DT blend: https://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/46065-rhubarb-chai

I think it had a name change a few months after Mother’s Day, when they realized it wasn’t going to sell out any time soon – so they gave it a name that was less holiday specific/described the flavour more, in an attempt to see more of it.

**to sell more of it.

One of your tasting notes on Rhubarb Chai confirms this. Doesn’t look like I logged it before, though.
