I want to like this, but it’s just a little off for me. Likely the chicory root. And, not a fan of the stevia at all. I see recommendations to have it as a latte, which would certainly disguise the stevia, since I sweeten my lattes, and maybe would curb the chicory a little?

Anyways, the aroma of this reminds me quite strongly of Glitter & Gold, though the flavour is definitely chocolatey in addition to the cinnamon, and less familiar. There’s that chicory note that keeps popping out and making it taste and/or smell funky, too.

Another tea to try and remember to latte for curiousity. Won’t be a repurchase for me, though.

Roswell Strange was kind enough to share this with me and it seems like DAVIDs recommends it as a latte so that is how I made it. It is pretty good. Definitely sweet and cinnamon-y. RS said it had Cocoa Canela vibes and I definitely get that but this is more sweet as opposed to Cocoa Canela which had more of a spice. Personally I think I prefer the spice in Cocoa Canela but that is no longer available and this is caffeine free, which is a plus.

The stevia and chicory were both concerning from the ingredient list but thankfully they are not too noticeable or offensive…at least when made as a latte. I could see this getting too sweet on its own. It is pretty good.

Going through this week’s queue of tasting notes, I feel like I had A LOT of teas from DT – but I suppose that’s just bound to happen when you have such easy access to them, and also work for the company…

I had this one iced during the week, with a hearty glug of coconut milk. I was sort of loosely testing my theory that this tea would be incredible as a latte, and while this isn’t the exact same thing as doing it up as a latte I have to say that it was pretty awesome. I definitely enjoyed it better iced/with coconut milk than just made hot and straight. It’s still a more ‘bright’ and fruity European type of chocolate note, but this seemed a lot more creamy, and seemed to tie some of the oddball elements, like the cinnamon, together more seamlessly.

Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
