From DAVIDsTEA

Meet our newest obsession: the crème brulée. French for “burnt cream,” this rich and creamy dessert is famous for its silky custard base and crunchy toffee crust. Not only is it such a mouthwatering combination, it’s also inspired one of our favourite macaron flavours. This decadent tea combines all the vanilla-cream sweetness of a classic crème brulée – with a twist. Our secret? We added a pop of jasmine for a light floral touch. Satisfying, sophisticated and downright addictive, it’s the ultimate teatime indulgence.

Ingredients: Apple, jasmine tea, rosehip shells, pineapple (pineapple, su gar), sweet blackberry leaves, marigold flowers, natural and artificial flavouring.

Price per 50g: $8.98

Something I sipped on this evening while doing some household chores…

I feel bad that it’s been so incredibly long since I last had this tea; at one point it was one of my favourite green teas carried by DAVIDsTEA and I was drinking it like crazy but then it sort of fell of my radar as other new and exciting teas came out. It’s still really delicious though! Starts off jasmine forward with a rounded quality to the floral but then gradually gets sweeter on the palate with more of a candied pineapple and buttery toffee flavour finishing out the sip.

We haven’t carried this tea in a while now, but I actually feel like it’s one of those retired teas that if it came back again (even if only seasonally) it would do really well. It for sure had a cult following! People, like me, just need to be reminded again about how tasty it is.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

My tea spreadsheet informs me that I may have 50g of this, and now I feel that it’s imperative that I locate it and have some. Haha.

I’m holding on to my last bag of it.
