This is just as delicious iced at home as I knew it could be from that tiny store sample. It’s seriously like juice: cherry, maybe even strawberry, with a touch of coconut. It even made my picky stepsister happy (granted, she needed to sweeten it a little, but she’s a 14-year-old Starbucks addict so what can you do). Definitely hibiscus-y, but I love that. So glad they decided to come out with a mega tin in their summer collection this year!

Sipdown no. 2 of September 2019 (no. 93 of 2019 total, no. 581 grand total).

Made the last of this as a cold brew. Because I didn’t have enough to make a full pitcher, I eyeballed the water measurements for a half pitcher.

It’s unclear to me whether my impression of this as weak, not sweet Kool Aid was because I got the measurement wrong or not, but it wasn’t a great cold brew. No. 2 initially said he liked it, but later tried to put sugar in it, and when that resulted in something disgusting gave up.

I’m bumping the rating on this one down. It’s not bad, just not anything special compared to the myriad other fruit blends I’ve had.

Got this as a recent sample. It is pleasantly bright and fruity, but doesn’t taste all that tropical. More flavor is coming through from the apples and cranberries than the pineapple and papaya.

Really pleasant tea overall. Had tried this in a sample packet davids tea had sent with another one of my purchases, but I found it too weak. I put about 2 tablespoons worth in 16 oz and let it steep for about 8 mins, and this time it was much better. I completely expected the coloring to be much darker and it wasnt, which disappointed me. I don’t know why but I’m big into tea aesthetic, lol. Overall really nice tea, and I’m digging the no caffeine aspect.

I love this for iced tea. LOVE. I always keep a small canister of this with me. It’s a great starter tea for someone just starting out. Sometimes I even add a little to vodka for a sweet refresher :) I can always use the tea leaves twice in my iced tea tumbler.

Holy sweet moley. If you are looking for a pop alternative this would be a good one to start with. It is very sweet and really does take you away to a tropical beach. Steep this in OJ for 24 hours and then add some rum. Yum! To be honest I drink more unflavored tea now so it’s too sweet for me but it’s still better then pop.

Through reading these reviews, I’ve noticed that most people drink this tea iced. I, however, drank it warm, and it was extremely enjoyable. I added a small amount of rock sugar, though I really do not think that adding sugar is necessary when it comes to this tropical blend. Even without sugar, the tea has a sweet, comforting taste. I found the papaya and apple notes to be dominant, though all of the flavours really came together to create a unique taste.
This is a wonderful tea to drink during the summer. It’s tropical flavour is relaxing when warm, much like sunbathing on an island beach, and I imagine that when cold, it would be very refreshing. It is a tea that I will continue to come back to!

This is my all time favourite David’s Tea. It wasn’t even the first one I ever tried, but when I tried it I was determined to have at least 2 cans full at all times. Really fruity and refreshing iced, but also delicious warm. A perfect tea for me!
