From DAVIDsTEA

We could not be more excited to partner with ME to WE, the global movement empowering people to change the world with their everyday consumer choices. We worked together to create this tea, a fruity and refreshing, all-natural blend of pineapple, hibiscus and cranberries. Not only is it totally delicious, this tea also gives back to a developing community in Kenya. Each 50 g purchase gives one month of clean water to a Kenyan child in need. Now that’s a reason to raise your glass!

Ingredients: Apple, pineapple (pineapple, cane sugar, citric acid), hibiscus, fig, pink peppercorns, cranberry, cornflower, stevia extract, natural raspberry, cherry and passion fruit flavouring.

(PRIOR TO MARCH 2018 THIS BLEND CONTAINED SULPHITES)

I picked up some of this tea a few days back. I’m not normally a fan of hibiscus but it’s for a good cause so I decided to give it a try. I love the smell – it’s like a cross between fruit punch and dried cherries – which is a bit odd as there aren’t any cherries in this blend. The flavour is tart but not as sour as I feared, the stevia sweetened it just enough for it to turn into a pleasantly fruity-berry flavour. I’ll have to try icing this one.

The dry leaf smells just like kool-aid to me. Red kool-aid. Don’t ask me the flavor. Maybe a mix of cherry and fruit punch. They should’ve made a candle, too.

This tea is like last summer’s hit, Hard Candy, but better. It doesn’t have coconut, but I’m not sure I miss it all that much. I love coconut in teas, but DT loves to add either coconut or hibiscus (or both!) to just about every summertime herbal. I’m glad it’s missing from this blend. It’s got really great cherry flavor. The cranberry and hibiscus add some tartness but it’s not overwhelming. I don’t get a lot of pineapple flavor, but that’s fine by me. Pineapple is truly hit or miss for me in teas.

I’m enjoying a large glass of it over ice this afternoon. It’s the second consecutive day over 90°F and it’s not even officially spring yet! Heaven help me. (-___-)

I’m glad it’ll be around for awhile. The fact that a portion of the proceeds go toward such a wonderful cause is a bonus. I look forward to drinking it throughout the summer.

I want to try this, but haven’t been drinking iced teas much lately. If it can indeed stick around til the summer, this is one I’d like to try.

I believe it has been added to the permanent collection, so it should still be around this summer. :)

My 40th tea review!

‘Me To We’, a tea created to coincide with DAVIDsTea’s collaboration with ME TO WE to help bring clean water to Kenya. Great cause, great friggin’ tea.

It tastes a little like watered down Fruit Punch, but it is so flavorful. I’ve only had it cold-steeped and am totally in love with it.

I usually hate teas with hibiscus because it usually is too strong, but I can barely taste it in this tea, tasting more of the fruits like the pineapple and cherry.

I hope they make this tea permanent .

Isn’t it delicious?! I’ve read that it has been added to their permanent collection. _

This reminds me a lot of the Kanpe that David’s Tea sold a few years ago. Its bold and fruity, but easy to drink and not overly sweet. I’ll definitely be drinking this often!

Had this as a sample today, and It was delicious! It was iced, and I was surprised because it had cranberry in it, and I usually don’t like cranberry unless it’s hot. I may have to get more of this at some point (because there is also pineapple and I LOVE pineapple).

Is this blend quite heavy? Wondering how cost effective it would be for making pitchers of iced tea
