I tried this one at a friend’s house not long ago. It is similar to pumpkin cheesecake but without the rooibos and smoke flavour. There is a lot of pumpkin flavour, some sweetness (brown sugar), some pie crust (graham cracker?), and some fruity/cinnamon flavour. I enjoyed it, but wonder why I didn’t purchase it when it was available. Normally I’m all over herbal seasonal teas.

I think I’m one of the few white chicks who doesn’t go absolutely bananas for pumpkin-spiced everything. So in the fall, I was surprised to find myself smelling the teas at David’s, and picking out this one. But holy tea bags, am I glad I did. This is an amazingly well-balanced tea. It isn’t too sweet even with the honeybush, maple crystals and cinnamon, it’s tastes like homemade pumpkin pie without all the sugar. It’s not too cinnamon-y, which is amazing because I’m not the biggest cinnamon fan. And it tastes like REAL pumpkin…. like you just hacked one open and baked it – a really good tribute to pumpkin as it should be done without all the sugar or spices.

A nicely comforting tea with no caffeine so it makes a great after-dinner treat. The ingredients include whipped cream, pumpkin pie, maple almond flavouring in addition to maple crystals, cocoa shells and pumpkin pieces. So it has a lot going on in it. The pumpkin spice comes out very prominently brewed and there’s a creaminess and pastry-like flourish. The maple flavour is excellent, I was worried it might be over the top because the aroma is so strong dried (it almost smells like a maple liqueur dried). But a lot more of the other flavours mingle and come out when brewed in this lovely autumn tea.

I need a sweet yet guilt-free afternoon pick-me-up, so I reached for this since I’ve been meaning to try it. It’s very comforting! A warm, sweet and slightly spicy flavor. And, the taste of pumpkin is even coming through :D , but it’s still a great blend that I plan to keep around this season.

Maple pumpkin? Yeah that’s definitely what I’m feeling from this tea right now. It makes me think of bobbing for apples actually… I’m not sure why but that’s the memory that pops up when drinking this right now… Halloween can’t come soon enough apparently.

Intersting association! This one definitely makes me think of autumn too but in a different way. It’s like my grandma’s pumpkin pie in a mug.

I blame the humidity and heat in general it’s making my brain go wonky.

No way, it sounds perfectly legit.

Okay, I’m officially nuts. It’s over 90 degrees outside and I’m drinking a hot Spiced Pumpkin tisane. This is a bit mellower than the Pumpkin Chai with a maple note. I’d have it again when I don’t want caffeine.
