From DAVIDsTEA

One powerful tea

Look out for white fur, black stripes and ice-blue eyes. White tigers tend to be bigger and stronger than their orange cousins. This blend is just as powerful. It’s got the smooth strength of organic white peony tea. Plus the additional fruity blast of pomegranate essence and dried blueberries. A real fighter! It’ll scare away any bad mood. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Organic: Bai Mu Dan white tea (China), dried blueberries, cornflowers. With organic and natural flavouring*.

This I’s white tea with blueberries, and pomegranete essence. You can see the ingredients. You can mainly smell the white tea and the blueberry. I steeped for a few minutes. This taste like a good white tea blueberries and abit of pomegranete.

I had an old sample of this tea kicking around, so I thought I’d try it. I don’t know if somehow the tea went bad (in its little sealed aluminum pouch), but the first few sips tasted like blueberries that had gone off. I couldn’t drink any more than that.

I always really wanted to try this tea and Janelle was kind enough to send me a sample of it a few months ago. I just got around to trying this today as I find my little samples are easy to lose track of. I know that the water was too hot and i’m mad at myself for ruining the only chance I will ever have of trying this tea, but I drank half of it anyway trying to look past the bitterness. I can detect a good amount of blueberry flavour, and it’s a natural blueberry flavour, but the base is quite grassy, not as delicate as other white teas. It brewed up quite dark for a white tea as well. Either way, I don’t think I was missing out on much with this tea.

Working on final sipdown for this. So sad it’s gone! Wonderful white tea with a hint of blueberries. I always loved the name too.

Honestly, where are the berries? Okay maybe I taste them a little bit. The berry flavor is really slight, practically unnoticeable and it’s only in the aftertaste. Why would they give the tea this name if it can’t live up to it? It basically has no flavour at all, I’m pretty disappointed.

Yes, I love this. The white tea and blueberry flavors harmonize perfectly, with neither overpowering the other.

I’m not a connoisseur of tea in any way, so I’ll save the detailed aroma and tasting notes for the tea experts :) But I can say this: until I tried this tea, I hated white tea (and green tea, but David’s Japanese Sencha and Genmaitcha helped with that!). I tried a sample of this at the store and fell in love with it. I don’t even need any sugar in it. Like I said, I never liked white tea until I tried this one and I don’t like fruity tisanes either, but this tea is just perfect for my (unsophisticated) palate. Because of this delicious and comforting tea, I have become braver in testing teas that I normally would avoid (like the aforementioned green teas). I also think this would make a great, refreshing iced beverage with a little honey perhaps. Highly recommended for white tea n00bs like myself :)

Any tea that has blueberries in it I will HAVE to try. It smells delicious. The subtleness of the white tea went perfectly with the light flavours of peony and pomegranate complemented by the blueberry. Plus this is such a pretty tea to look at. My stash of this tea is running low…I should probably restock!

White Tiger is amazing. The taste is not too strong although not so weak that you don’t taste anything. This tea smells delicious before it is steeped and keeps the smell after. Pomegranate and blueberries have never been paired in a better way in tea. At least not that I have found yet!
