From DAVIDsTEA

As far as we’re concerned, a perfectly ripe nectarine is one of the world’s most perfect tastes. And something that special deserves the royal treatment – which is why we only used the best ingredients around for this all natural blend. We took a base of sweet, mellow white Bai Mudan tea, for a fresh taste of the spring harvest. Then we added fruity apricots, herbaceous blackberry leaves and all-natural nectarine essence. The result? A fresh, juicy tea worthy of our very favourite fruit.

Price per 50g: $11.50

It might be the fact I had some of the sweet chili Triscuit crackers, but I’m not noticing a TON of flavour with this one. I steeped it up for about 3 mins. I am getting a lovely peach flavour, but it’s very subtle. I like the white base. Simple but nice.

Will try again when I haven’t eaten something with such a strong flavour first.

This is a very nice, light tea. Not a very strong flavor, but enough to be perfect.
I think I can taste more of the apricot than the blackberry.
I don’t find it overly sweet IMO, but it tastes like a ‘curl up with a good book and cup of tea’ kind of tea.

I’m kind of hankering for a summer tea like this with, maybe peaches? Yeah, this tea with peaches.

Still not sure if this would be a restock and I’m on a second tasting on this one, maybe come to more of a decision with a third.

Edit: I am getting more of this tea, tried it both cold-steeped and hot and liked it a bit more with each tasting, stocking up while I can.

Got a sample of this in my latest swap with the lovely Megan Low! Have really wanted to try this one! Was surprised by this one actually…but at the same time I’m glad I didn’t waste my money on it! XD
Do you know what the skin of the peach tastes like? Taste kinda peachy, but also has that kinda like…dirt flavor. I don’t know another way to describe it. xD Just has that weird dirty skin flavor haha! There’s a touch of apricot in it too. I actually surprisingly like the blend of apricot and peach, they balanced each other out quite nicely. If it weren’t for the weird dirt skin taste I would probably buy this!
Glad I got to try at least before this collection goes away-thank you so much for the sample, Megan Low!!

I like this one, I have to say, even if it does remind me a little of orange drink mix. I do enjoy a good, orange-flavoured tea, and this certianly fits the bill – along with the peach and apricot flavours I think I can also pick out. That said, there are other orange teas I like better and that are less expensive, so while I’m glad I tried this one, I won’t be in a rush to get a lot more.

Chose this as my free tea for wearing green on St Patrick’s day. Really enjoyed it.
1st steep, lovely, sweet, nectarine-y and tasty.
2nd steep, exactly the same.

I’m sure this would taste lovely iced as well.

Sampled at the NYC Coffee & Tea Festival. DavidsTea had one of the better giveaways – coupons for free cups of tea in-store! I also checked out their newest travel mugs. The design is nice, but there’s a lot of plastic and it isn’t dishwasher-safe. For over $30, it didn’t seem worth it.

This blend is nice. The flavor is pleasant and dead on. Which is good, because I couldn’t really make out the base tea at all. This would probably be good iced.

I tried a sample of this in-store last week and I can’t wait to buy some for myself. Just need to decide how much to get. It was so juicy and fruity and peachy delicious; I instantly fell in love.

What a beautiful day out there! (except for the wind, but it’s North Dakota, so what can you do?) Last night I put a few tablespoons of this tea into the strainer thingie of my DAVIDs’ ice tea carafe and let it sit over night. I like it! t’s mild, and slightly sweet on its own, very refreshing after unpacking dusty books. I may have uder leafed it though. Hard for me to know for sure, but it tastes even milder than I expected. On the other hand, its cold and refreshing even if I should have used more tea. think I’ll get a lot of use out of that iced tea caraf this summer!

OMGsrsly

For the large size (just about 8 cups) I usually use 3 generous tablespoons. But I mostly steep fruit teas to make “juice” so it’s probably different with teas that actually contain tea. :)

Maddy Barone

I’ll keep that in mind, OMGsrsly I finished about half of it, then added a tablespoon of a What-Cha black to it. It’s steeping now, so I’ll try some tonight when my mom, two of my brothers, and my sister and her daughter come to supper.

Last one of the DT Spring Collection that I hadn’t tried; I cold brewed this for work yesterday, but didn’t finish it. I’m drinking the last little bit now thought before I start getting ready for work.

It’s not quite what I was expecting; the flavour is more “punchy” and juice-like than anticipated. Whoever it was that described this as tasting like powdered juice crystal/mix was right on the money. That overly sweet, sugary fruit flavour is so characteristic of that sort of drink; it totally overrides any flavour that the white base could’ve contributed. And, I think that intense “from concentrate” juice trait is only amped up by the sweet blackberry leaves; what’s going on here is everything I’ve experienced with other blends that use them.

But once I get over how different it is from what I had expected it’s really not so bad; I like how forward the apricot flavour is even if it’s not the most realistic flavouring and I taste some peachy notes underneath it, and maybe something just a pinch floral? I’m intrigued to try it hot and see how the flavour shifts.

So, now having tried everything I think my favourite is, surprisingly, Elderflower Spritz. Strawberry Fields is the clear loser; and everything else falls pretty close together in the middle.

This one is kind of artificial, but still pretty good. It does get a little weird when it cools. I had it plain, but sweetened as a TTG initially. At that time, they suggested it as a latte (I think it’s a new upselling tactic that I’m not liking, fwiw)…I was like, I don’t usually add milk to white tea, except for Buttercream. But I kept that in my mind and when I was at DT yesterday with CrowKettle I opted to get a little of this and Strawberry Fields. So I made this last night, even though I’d had half a mug of Brazillionaire, a sipping matcha, and a matcha latte…I usually only have 2 caffeine teas a day. Whoopsie!

So I added a little more leaf and added milk, and I got little black floaties, reminiscent of a previous seasonal tea…one of the apple ones, iirc. I think it is just vanilla bean? Anyhow, it was tasty and def held up to the milk. And yes it is artificial, but I was compelled to drink more in spite of that.

I will be curious to see how this works iced or cold steeped.
