From DAVIDsTEA

As far as we’re concerned, a perfectly ripe nectarine is one of the world’s most perfect tastes. And something that special deserves the royal treatment – which is why we only used the best ingredients around for this all natural blend. We took a base of sweet, mellow white Bai Mudan tea, for a fresh taste of the spring harvest. Then we added fruity apricots, herbaceous blackberry leaves and all-natural nectarine essence. The result? A fresh, juicy tea worthy of our very favourite fruit.

Price per 50g: $11.50

I cold brewed this sample from my recent DT order. It was pretty good. It has a bit of that artificial peachy flavour that a lot of DT blends have but it was pretty good. I find that it is fairly similar to mango madness which I already have so I likely won’t be purchasing any of this.

Plunkybug

Agreed. It is good but then gets this weird artificial thing which puts me off of it.

Kristal

This one wasn’t for me either.

I guess we can’t love every tea!

This tea is really good, very sweet with the taste of nectarines. What else can be said about it. Not much. I thought this was a brand new tea but it must be one they brought back because there are already 44 reviews of it. First time I am trying it.

I steeped this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 190 degree water for 4 min.

I would recommend steeping this tea with a sachet rather than a metal infuser or tea ball. I used a mesh infuser with very small holes and still got a lot of particles settling at the bottom. Otherwise, it’s a very light and fruity tea that’s perfect for any mood.

Got this as a free sample in my davidstea.com order. Not sure what it is about this tea, but it is not doing it for me. The sweetness is kind of overwhelming and I am not a fan of the fact that it contains sulphites.

I like this, although you could say that I’m not typically a fan of peachy-tasting teas. This tea has a light peachy or nectarine flavour. It’s pleasant. I don’t know if I’d buy a lot of this tea in the future, but I don’t regret picking it up either. Overall, considering I picked it up on impulse, I’d say that it wasn’t a bad choice.

Sipdown!

And too bad because I really like this one. It’s like the syrup they can peaches in without the cloying sweetness! Yum!

(The only downside is this is super dusty and really needs to be brewed in a sachet to avoid a layer of dust at the bottom of the cup. Hmm.)

Picked this one up from either keychange or variaTEA sorry ladies, i can’t remember who. To me this is a nectarine fail. This doesn’t taste like nectarine at all. it’s not a BAD tasting tea, but this isn’t what i think of when i bite into a juicy nectarine. Oh well, can’t win them all!

This tea has a nice summery aroma and flavour. With recent sales on summer teas, I haven’t made the switch to autumn teas yet. The apricot aroma is very prominent both dried and brewed. The flavour is juicy and sweet. I’m still more partial to peaches over nectarines in tea, but I also would reach for a peach before a nectarine in a fruit bowl, so no surprise there. I wouldn’t rush out to buy this again, but it’s enjoyable and I won’t have trouble finishing up the bag this fall.

Additional Note: I also made this as a pitcher of iced tea some weeks after my review of it hot and found it far more enjoyable chilled! The nectarine has a refreshing taste that seems quite natural iced. That will definitely be my preference for it next time.

A friend of mine passed on nearly two ounces of this after deciding she didn’t like it. I was intrigued with the flavor but unwilling to spend $$$ on a flavored white, so this worked out in my favor.

The nectarine flavor really isn’t that nectarine-ish. It’s more of a crisp, juicy peach. Very natural and refreshing. It’s strong and lasted several steeps. If it wasn’t so pricey, I would have bought some for myself.

I got a packet of this as part of the 4/$10 deal. And I’m actually really glad I decided to try it!

So good. It’s like candy. Fuzzy peaches, only not really peach. Definitely more floral ripe nectarine.

I’ve been steeping it at 175F for 4 minutes and putting it over ice (to make 16oz). I even brought some to work with me today!

Yay tea!

hmmmm……

OMGsrsly

It’s weird, but yeah. I really like this one.

Sil

may have to pick up a sample. finishing the samples i picked up last week and likely going to go back this weekend to pick up a few more. 4$ away from a free 50g.

OMGsrsly

Is it still available? If not, I’ll add what I have left to your box. :)

Plunkybug

I like this one but find I have to drink it hot…if it cools too much, I get the weird artificial taste, though it seems to be ok if iced. There is just that range between hot and iced that it gets strange.

OMGsrsly

Interesting. I didn’t even try it hot, it seemed perfect as an iced tea. :)

Plunkybug

I think it might be ok iced…or hot…but just not in between.
