From DAVIDsTEA

A winning hand

When it comes to refreshment, this blend is playing with a stacked deck. It’s loaded with tangy hibiscus flowers, which bring their signature deep red colour and lip-puckering taste. Plus golden marigold blossoms, for a pretty pop of yellow. But that’s not all – we have an ace up our sleeve. We upped the ante with a super-energizing burst of Ecuadorian guayusa. Fresh, fruity, tart and invigorating…could this be the perfect iced tea? Looks like it’s in the cards…

Ingredients: hibiscus, guayusa, stevia, marigold. With natural fruit and berry flavouring.

Pure win!

I cannot really speak any energy boost effect from this tea, but I like the hibiscus, I like the colour, and I like that it is organic. Would make a lovely iced tea

I don’t know if its just my infatuation with Guayusa right now or it’s just that this tea is the most vibrant, brilliant thing I’ve ever sipped upon. I came downstairs on a Sunday morning, glancing upon my tea cupboard and I was amazed that I had found a tea that I hadn’t tried yet. Queen of Tarts. I got excited of course and steeped this up; I was amazed at the rich pomegranate-red colour. And the taste: divine. No sweetener or milk necessary. A perfect puckery, fruity, fabulous tea. 5 stars.

Loved this at first, bought more and… the love is gone. I’m going to finish the rest up in a big iced tea jug with lemons. Very tart. I think there was more hibiscus in the second batch I picked up…

Hello steepster, I’m not dead! I am the next thing to dead, promoted. So I drink way more tea at a desk and have more funbucks to spend on tea but less time to review it.

So the backlog starts with my favorite new favorite from the summer, which I apparently like much more than Steepster at large. I love all things hibiscus, since jamaica over ice has been a fixture in my life., so I really love Queen of Tarts. It’s like Passion tea with a backbone.

Hot, not so much. I always ice it after a long steep so it doesn’t dilute too much, and the stevia lead means I don’t have to add any sweetener, although its also amazing with raspberry syrup. Beautiful rich color and bright flavor, not puckery tart to me. The only reason it doesn’t get a perfect for me is its insufficient guayusa content. My junkie self just added more plain guayusa, and problem solved.

Already reordered, and should arrive tomorrow!

So as its name states, this tea is super tart. It is also very fruity (berry flavors), but you cannot enjoy the fruity part because it is so tart. It’s just not right, this should not even be considered a tea. I’m really sorry. I knew this review wasn’t much to be anticipated, so that’s why I was putting it off a bit.

I didn’t even taste the “berry flavouring” that they added. it was mostly a red acidic ( the hibiscus) flavour and that was about it. it also made me tongue numb eventually.

All I tasted in this blend was the tart hibiscus. I couldn’t taste any of the other fruits or floral add-ins they claim are in there, nor did I taste any actual tea. It’s not undrinkable, but I’d say no to another cup of it.
