This was my first teapot experiment yesterday. I brewed some up and just sat their and sipped at it throughout the day. I always forget how much I actually enjoy this tea. It slides to the back of my shelf until I remember it really is actually pretty amazing and I pull it out again. I like it hot, I probably prefer it cold, but I have all summer to decide.

I get the berry notes but, interestingly enough, I also get a lot of the apple, which I actually enjoy tasting in this tea. It is also one of the few rosehip heavy teas I am pretty crazy about.

It was the day after a nice relaxing day at the spa that I got the pleasure of trying this tea. The sweet tang of this rose elixir reminds me much of cranberry apples for some reason. Which definitely brought up pictures of the autumn harvest festivals and the Saanich Fair that we have on the island. All very pleasant images to say the least.

I can honestly say each sip was a piece of nostalgia which I’m guessing is the magic effect that David’s Tea was going for. Please let me know if you think that the magic is something different. But I think we can agree that it’s a great fit for their iced tea menu. Happy Tea Drinking Everyone. :)

I had this cold brewed yesterday and I loved it! I’ve never tried their pink lemonade and I don’t think I ever will because this is perfect for that. So in the summer this will be perfect as it has 0 cal and it fills my lemonade craving perfectly!

Flavors: Berries, Lemon Zest

Preparation

Lemon Zest was the only Lemon in the Flavour section. I don’t know if it was zesty but there is lemon in it :D

Another wonderfully delicious iced tea from Davids this summer. The first time I made it, I didn’t let it steep as long as I should have (was in a rush to get to work) but still found it lovely (albeit mild). I made it again today with the proper steeping instructions and it is phenomenal – The first sip is strong berry (cranberry mostly on my palate) and the finish is goji/sea buckthorn. Very lovely and interesting tea. Like previous reviewers, I think too much ice is a bad thing with this one. I prefer it just chilled in the fridge and that is the way I prepare it when I have time.

Really curious about this one but only got 8 grams so I hope I don’t love it too much!

In the pouch it smells lemony, earthy and dusky.nice!

Once brewed it is a lovely color, smells like an earthier heavier cousin of Goji Pop ( one of my staples)

The taste is a much less sweet Goji Pop. It is the cousin, alright.Lighter with more emphasis on lemon and gentle tartness. Nice!

Good tea,but I am a Goji girl all the way and this is nice but not quite the same league. It is very good though, don’t get me wrong!

Tea to go today. Too tart for me. I knew that it might from the ingredients, but I opted to try anyway.

Got this when I went to pick up mums usual refill of Fantasy Island. I’ve been a terrible influence on her formerly bagged-Tetley-with-milk routine. Shame on me. -;

The little silver bag is still sitting in the cupboard. I havent had time or mood to steep. But it smells amazing. Like cherry popsicles and ripe berries. Giving a neutral rating until it passes the Owlie Taste Test.

Whoop! Whoop!

Personally, the name of this tea just makes it for me. I didn’t really understand the name at first, but after I tried it, this tea just clicked for me.

At first, I was just sitting on my bed looking at tea reviews (lol) and I saw that DAVIDsTea had a new tea out. I didn’t question anything because it looked fruity and juicy so I asked my mother to go and get me twenty grams on her way home. As you all can see, I jumped into this tea blindly. When my mom came home that night, I literally jumped off the bed and ran to her!

My first sniff was such an eye opening moment. For me, it smelled very fruity medicinal, just like the cheap medicine that I used to take when I used to live with my grandmother (when my parents were still earning minimum wage) and we could only afford some cheaper things. Oh my goodness!!! Next time my grandma comes to visit me, I’m definitely going to give her some of this tea. The sniff was so reminiscent of my childhood in China. I remember when I was small and how happy my family was even though we didn’t have much. Anyways… Back to the tea! The smell was definitely fruity and medicinal (I’m just repeating myself now…) but not the type of aroma that is connoted with the term “medicinal.” This tea is what I would call “medicinal done right.”

My first sip was an additional layer onto the reminiscence of my childhood. Immediately I tasted the berry-apple base, followed by a light lingering goji and sea buckthorn flavor with a light floral note that blends very well with all the rest of the flavors.

My only complaint however, is that I feel that this tea was made to be iced (came out during summer, berry based, and THAT DEEP RUBY COLOR!!!) but I felt that the ice muted the teas flavors. Overall this tea blows me away.

This tea is fruity, but tangy at the same time. I really like it and I was freaking out when they discontinued it. This is also one of the first dozen teas I ever picked up. There is this weird taste that I think must be the sea buckthorn. But I also taste the hibiscus, other berries and tanginess of the lemongrass. It’s a lovely blend I like having around.

MAN. I have been remiss. Like, months worth of remiss. I am so sorry.

But, today. Hottest day of the year. High of, like, 34 I think? Considering that my body starts to shut down and try to self-destruct above like 23, I’m bracing myself for the worst. Given up all pretence of looking like a professional who works in an office, my hair headbanded away from my sweaty face, my baggy weekend jeans with knee holes for ventilation, and one of those loose tank tops with the big douchey armholes, and my prettiest sports bra. CLASSY UNIVERSITY PROFESSIONAL RIGHT HERE. Also hence, big bottle of this, cold brewed overnight. And I do like this one. I almost forgot I had this one when it got cold and I wasn’t drinking so many infusions, but it’s nice to come back to. It brews up a dainty, pretty shade of pink, and has a nice fruity taste upfront with a sweet-tart finish that reminds me slightly of sherbet lemon – that’ll be all the lemongrass I spied in the mix, then. Just lovely, super refreshing.

This post made me laugh. The heat doesn’t bother me that much, but the killer humidity we have here does. Hope the day passes much more easily than expected.

This is one of DT’s better herbal, imo.

Yes, its hot. Stratford has officially melted & im inside tidying while drinking a triple tea combo which has completely spannered me, a reminder to not mix my drinks
