This is my favourite herbal tea! Whenever I fill stressed or under pressure I brew a cup or two before going to bed – and it works like a charm! And it’s actually nice tea, some other calming teas have strong valerian aftertaste, this one doesn’t .

Flavors: Flowers, Herbs, Lemongrass

My kitty was run over tonight. I found him as I got home. He was a really amazing cat and friend. I miss him terribly.

Uniquity

That’s terrible, I’m so sorry!

caile

On no, I’m so sorry!

sren

Thank you. :(

Nichole/CuppaGeek

Oh my! I am so sorry!

Nicole

Oh no. So sorry to hear that. :(

sren

Thanks. He was so awesome— one of those one in a million cats. He liked to drink tea with me and with each new cup he would remind me of his turn for a dot of cream. Our whole family is grieving.

Ew. This tea is called mothers little helper because it is supposed to help you fall to sleep but instead it helped me want to vomit . I had to give this a 51 because I technically did finish it. I feel like there was too many flavours, first I would get camomile, then lemon, then mint, (which wasn’t so bad. until then it became lawn shavings. The aftertaste was even worse than the tea itself.. kind of tasted like vegetable / hot and sour soup. This tea is REALLY weird.

I received this tea in the caffeine free pack from DavidsTea. It’s a very light, relaxing taste that’s very soothing – it reminds me of Sleepytime Tea. It’s kind of vegetative and hay-like with mint character to it. Definitely a good tea to sit down and relax with.

Day 11/24 of the DavidsTea advent calendar. I drank this Thursday morning before I read that it was a sleepy time tea. Needless to say my morning kind of dragged on until I had some coffee after lunch.

Dry – very menthol lemon scent (kind of like a lemon cough drop), lots of large bits, smells relaxing

Steeped – Still smells like a cough drop. Very lovely rose color!

Taste –All of the flavors were very independent of each other. Mint, then lemon, then hibiscus. The hibiscus was very strong in this tea which I don’t love.

It is an okay tea. Maybe as a sleepy time/relax before bedtime tea. Not sure if I will purchase.

I have had this tea in the past and have a distinct memory of it being gross. However, I decided to give it another try since its in this calendar, and nothing has changed. Its still gross. The mint flavoring that initially hits your tongue is fine, but there is an overpowering aftertaste that is, for lack of a better fitting word, yucky. It may be the chamomile or the valerian, I’m not sure, but its gross. There is also something that is sourly sweet, and I usually love sour, but no.

Scrabble and Tea tonight :)

This one came a staple in my cupboard quite some time ago. It doesn’t necessarily help me feel sleepy but it certainly relaxes me which I need tonight!

Lessons learned with this tea-
1. I need a new ball strainer. Mine let all sorts of debris out, and float around my cup like so many merry twigs.
2. This tea is very pretty! So colorful. So many bits that I do not know what they are!
3.Chamomile, while I have a space for it in my cupboard, is not my most favorite.
4. Still, this is pretty good. I like mint in them, though I can’t tell what the flower petals were supposed to do, exactly.
Verdict- I like it well enough, but a perminant member of my cupboard? Probably not.
Sipdown!

Tasting – shmasting … I wanted a tea that would help me sleep through the night … This tea is a bases loaded home run .. two teaspoons in a tea ball … pour in enough boiling water to cover … let steep … the longer the better and drink about a half hour before going to bed. I am now sleeping through the night …. a much more restful and relaxing sleep then usual… I wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day and rarely have the urge to nap .. I should also add that this tea has really improved my mood and outlook on life … much more upbeat and gregarious then usual … there is an anti anxiety aspect of valerian and camomile that really seems to work for me … highly recommended!!!!

Not much flavor but it did help relax me. Very nice when mixed with another non-caffeinated tea for a little extra flavor. Especially nice with the chocolate mint tea.
