Backlog

I had this yesterday morning to help me get through the early start of the day. It was fairly decent. I hadn’t tasted much of the coffee, but there was a definite (ripe) puerh flavor. It was o.k., but definitely something I’d not acquire on my own.

By itself, the first steep you can definitely taste the puerh. There’s an undertone of coffee flavour but it’s definitely tea and not coffee.
I don’t really like black coffee so I added International Delight vanilla (2 tbsp to 16oz Nordic mug) and now it’s quite pleasant. Would I buy it again? Probably not, I like my teas to be more versatile, to be drinkable with or without sweetener. But I’ll definitely be happy while drinking the rest of my tin.

Got this for free with my David’s Tea rewards card last week. It is fairly tasty. I just western brewed this today, basically following the directions on the package. I can’t really taste the tea however, the main thing I get is the coffee beans.

I brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and boiling water for 4.5 min.
