Orange Blossom

So I once posted that this one makes for a decent liquid orange creamsicle if you cold-steep it for hours, then add plenty of white sugar and milk.

Well, I take it back.

I cold-steeped this last night with some sugar and went to add milk this morning. Then I spotted the half-and-half beside the milk and thought…well… CREAMsicle. And (crazily?) used half-and-half instead.

Oooh! I’ll be doing that from now on.

This tea. I don’t know if it’s all that exciting all by itself. I haven’t had it as anything other than a “liquid orange creamsicle” for a while now for that reason. But late last night, I was steeping up a mixture of David’s Chocolate Cake and David’s Glitter & Gold when I suddenly thought (too late), “What about a cinnamon chocolate cake with orange peel frosting?!”

Yeah. I think I actually will stock up on this at some point in the future, as it hadn’t occurred to me to mix with other teas before. But now I’m curious!

Wow, I definitely suck at picking out teas for myself based on the notes and the way they smell in the store. Just to set the record straight though, this tea doesn’t smell at all of actual orange blossoms, but I imagine that isn’t exactly news.
Definitely getting the bubble gum thing others have mentioned, and there really isn’t any vanilla to speak of. I’m still on the hunt for my perfect creamcicle tea though!
I’ve tried this tea with milk and sugar, plain, and also with a touch of vanilla agave. It’s a lose lose situation for me. So disheartening to see the entire remainder of yet another package that I’m going to have to force myself to finish. Or maybe I can donate it LOL.
At least I know that tomorrow morning’s tea (vanilla orchid or maybe jasmine pearls) won’t let me down!

Hmmmmm. So. This is pretty much the same as the tea I tried yesterday only less on the fake and more creamy. I don’t get much orange, if any… but it tastes a whole lot more natural to me.
Also, there was no reaction to the vanilla?! I guess I only have issues with the oils and extracts. Interesting.
This would be fun to mix with other teas. I could see this as a decent starter for mixing.

I have had this tea before and loved it, hot and iced. However, a coworker made me this today. It was strong, iced, sweetened (I think with honey?) and had a touch of milk (I think skim)
First of all IT LAYERS guyz it looks so pretty. Second of all OMG it’s a creamsicle. I am buying a tin of this tomorrow and trying it with vanilla almond milk. OOOO or maybe even chocolate?

I think I have to stay away from David’s fruit flavored teas. It’s an orange candy flavor. And there’s a funny artificial flavor that I couldn’t pinpoint until I read Uniquity’s review. It’s bubblegum. It’s orange candy and pink bubblegum. It is creamy and vanilla-y though. Overall, meh.
I do have to give them points for creativity, but it’s also important to make sure your flavors blend well.

Another bubblegum tea… I held out a lot of hope for it at first, the aroma was very much like an orange creamsicle, and the first few sips even alternated between bold (yet sweet) orange and a vanilla creaminess but as the cup started to cool it began to taste like bubblegum. Now I can’t get any flavour or aroma out of it other than bubblegum and I am pretty bummed. I like orange teas, but I find it difficult to get one that tastes good. Not much else to say about this, it’s pretty forgettable. I would rather have more bagged Twinings African Honeybush Mandarin and Orange than this one.

I’m off to an all day meeting and needed something fresh and flavorful. I love this tea, it bright and citrus-y but yet sweet enough on it’s own to just go down smooth… The little bit of vanilla really just finishes things off nicely.

Ok off to the meeting… don’t you just love budget forecasting sessions! :S

I tried this on the low temperature/short steep time pattern. Was it ever pleasant. I have always liked this orange notes in this tea, but the brew method really brought down the rooibos and let the fruit and vanilla shine. I am tempted to toss in a pinch of sugar, just to see if that coaxes out a pinch more orange, but it was a much enjoyed cup!

Decided to try another tea at my girlfriends house and I had just bought this for her so I thought I try it :)
The dry smell is exactly like orange creamsicles/ orange creamsicles candies. The taste of this tea is more like a watered down creamsicle mixed with tea which is kinda weird because its a roobois..
It’s actually a really nice tea if you want a refreshing cup

Yes! Enjoyment. There’s something in this that vaguely makes me think of carbonation. And I’m not too sure on the aftertaste. But things I can get past I’m sure.

As it cools the aftertaste diminishes. Love when things work out.

The more I drink the more it reminds me of a creamsicle. But because it’s hot my taste buds are confused. I may try this one out cold to see what happens.

Now back to the books.
