I purchased this delicious tea yesterday at my visit to Davids Tea. SO delicious! It’s like a warm hug on a cold day. However, I do find it’s very similar to another flavour of tea that I have had. Has anyone else realized this?

I would definitely recommend this fruit infused tea to anyone!

This is my absolute favorite tea right now. The cinnamon, coconut, almonds, apples and rice really come through and blend nicely. Makes a great cup to cozy up with before bed :)

in the advent calendar.

I like this. At first it tasted like berries and wood but it’s mellowed out a bit and I can really taste the apple now. It basically tastes like liquid apple pie to me.

On a side note, for some reason there are two entires for this tea on steepster. The other is at http://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/26305-sleigh-ride

my new favourite tea – it was love at first sip!
The bright pink hue was a pleasant surprise. I normally can’t distinguish flavours very well- i can smell but never taste. However there is a definitive apple flavour, with a delayed kick of cinnamon and sweetness. So great without and milk or sweetener, although I got it as a soy latte with a little agave from the store and it was also amazing. Hands down my top tea from Davids. Must stock up before the season ends!

Very similar to Forever Nuts, right down to the pink colouring. The taste is slightly different – maybe the rice or the pineapple? – but it’s just as delicious.

Day 1/24 of 24 Days of Tea Calendar

Finally its Dec 1st! I’ve been sooo looking forward to starting the calendar! It’s just unfortunate it had to start off with this tea. I haven’t had it in years because I do not like hibiscus hot, but the ingredients (namely the spices) in this tea kind of make it so it only makes sense to have this tea hot.

I made it kind of weak to mute the hibiscus tartness a bit, which did help somewhat. Otherwise, I’m getting a little bit of the cinnamon followed by a sour aftertaste. Yuck. I’m forcing myself to drink all 16oz of this tea I made in my travel mug. I’m sure this tea would be better if you made it strong and added sugar to make kind of an apple cider thing, but I do not take sugar in my tea and overall my opinion remains the same: too sour, and I don’t like it. Better luck with tomorrow’s tea I guess…

Sad to hear this… Sleigh Ride is one of my faves! Oh well, different strokes, I suppose! Better luck tomorrow, I hope!

Yeah, everyone has different tastes :) Glad you enjoyed this one, for me it also really bothered my acid reflux :(

I cannot recall if I steeped this for the correct amount of time, but the first few times I made this tea I found it a bit on the sour side, I had to sweeten with honey to really enjoy it and appreciate the rest of the fruity notes. It wasn’t too long before I could drink it straight and it was no longer a problem.

No matter how short I steep this or how little tea I use, I always end up with this rancidly strong cup of purple. Don’t get me wrong, the colour’s nice but it ends there. I don’t know what it is but I always get it really strong, spicy and gross. I’m not sure if it’s the cinnamon or something else but bleck this is terrible.
EDIT: I think this may be my preference despite the reviews similar to mine, but because of that chance I’m removing the rating and just keeping the review.

I loved the beetroot and hibiscus. What a delicious tea. It was tart and warming on a cold afternoon, and I’d be curious to taste it iced. The taste reminded me of Forever Nuts, as did the color. In my opinion, the tarter the better!
