Enter the dragon

Oolong means “black dragon” in Chinese. There are many stories behind the name, but we like to believe it’s because steeped oolong tea unfurls just like little dragons in your cup. When you blend oolong with the bright, fresh flavours of lemon and mint, it’s a different creature altogether. Yellow dragons symbolize nobility and generosity of spirit – it’s no wonder this delicious, uniquely refreshing tea makes us smile. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Oolong tea, lemongrass and peppermint.

The first time I tried this I over steeped it… kinda tasted like lemon fresh kitchen spray mixed with oolong. Watched the clock the next time and it was decent… not my fave but not too bad. Words of wisdom… oolong is not a tea for attention deficit people… gotta time it!

I got this as a gift from a friend who bought it for me from Davids special with the 250g for 19.50. I had never tried this one before but thought it sounded promising with oolong, lemongrass and mint. Another person said it makes you feel better when your having a bad day or feeling sick; this is actually very true. I actually felt a difference in my anxiety level after i drank it and it was quite nice. Everything in the cup has a good balance. In a glass mug it has a clear lovely yellow color. ive become an instant fan of this tea. too bad its not hanging around.

Possibly my favourite oolong! I love lemon and I love mint and this combination works perfectly for me. I like bold tea flavours, so all of my steep times are far longer than the usual recommendations.

I really wish this one was sticking around, so when I saw it online I had to buy 250g of it. Needless to say, I will be hoarding this like nothing else!

Yellow Dragon delivers on every level I could hope for.

I love lemony teas, and I love mint teas, so Yellow Dragon is exactly what I look for in tea. The list of ingredients is short, only including some of my favourite things to be found in tea. Yellow Dragon is fun to smell, you get exactly what you’d expect, peppermint and some lemon. It’s fun to look at, the balled up oolong tea uncurls as the tea steepens to a golden hue. Most importantly, Yellow Dragon is a joy to drink.

The peppermint is the star of the drink, it’s the most noticeable taste that you’ll encounter. It is backed up by an almost perfect balance of taste offered by the oolong and lemon. Yellow Dragon is incredibly soothing and satisfying to taste. It’s not overly sweet or bitter, it’s just a nice tasting tea from the first sip to the last.
