From DAVIDsTEA

Put this in your arsenal
Need help getting through the daily grind? Try pomegranates. Doctors have used them for thousands of years to heal just about everything. Warriors in ancient Persia ate them before combat for strength. But we love them because they taste amazing. With tart pomegranate seeds, hibiscus blossoms, and white Silver Needles, this fresh and fruity tea will help you face any of life’s little battles.

Oh me oh my! This tea smells so divine. So much pomegranate. I was suprised to see as many pomegranate seeds as I did. So much sticky-goodness.
It brewed to be a nice pink-red pomegranate colour. And man did it ever taste like eating a fresh pomegranate.
I made mine as an iced tea. The pomegegranate came through nicely & the white tea was sitting there along side it.

Had this one the other day – a sample that came with my last order, I guess? Truest pomegranate flavour in a tea, nom nom… though the seeds look nasty after you pull them out :P I put the whole sample in my mug and was glad I rounded up.

It does look really nasty!!! Seems unfair that they sent that as a sample to tease, because I’m fairly sure that was one of the blends they have on their discontinued page.

The new spring pomegranate tea sounds yummy though!

Just getting rid of it, I guess?

Tastes very medicinal and very thin close to the end of the sip. Sour and bitter after-taste. This tea tastes like it is trying to be sweet. I think that I may be sensitive to the taste of the hibiscus. I am not able to detect the taste of the white tea. The tea does have a flavour reminiscent of cherry-pomegranate. As the tea cools, I’m detecting some peppery notes in the flavour.

Pom Powerful! After smelling this tea at David’s on my last visit, and have been dreaming of it any since! I had to pick it up when I got the call that the long-awaited Perfect Tea Cups came in with the pattern I’d been waiting for. It was fruity and luscious. I was a little skeptical when it looked to have disproportionate amounts of fruit with very little tea. Fortunately, this was not the case. Although there was a predominately pomegranate flavor, it was well-mixed with the hibiscus, although the hibiscus was not prevailing. There was still enough tea to hold its own as well, thankfully. I’m not usually too keen on iced teas, but this makes me want to give them a chance. I’m longing for a spring thaw and this on ice :)

I love this tea iced – I basically have been bringing a mug of this to work every other day (if not every day) for a month now. It’s my go to iced tea. What’s interesting though is my boyfriend says it reminds him of Dr. Pepper – does anyone else feel that way?

I really enjoy this tea! Fruity teas are not my forte but I wanted to get a nice one to ice because summer is just around the corner. The employee at DT brought this one for me to smell and I must say, the smell of this one is beatiful! Sort of like rasberries and strawberries, I orginially wanted Strawberry White but they were all out, but I am so glad I picked this one. I brewed it hot and it just tastes so lovely, so fruity and sweet, its a bit tart but I add a bit of agave nectar and oooh – perfect!

Kind of tastes like medication, didn’t enjoy it enough to purchase again. I regret buying 50 grams of it….

I’ve had this tea for a while and have only had a couple of cups. I love pomegranate and I love tea but together, I found it very syropy. I might try it iced in the summer but I probably won’t get any more.

Tastes just like cranberry juice when iced. Except unlike cranberry juice, its full of antioxidants and isn’t high in empty calories from all the sugar.

So clearly my first encounter with this tea did not go very well. (See earlier Tasting Note).
However, on a second run – I have to say that I did not give this tea its due the first go-round. I’m still not sure if I absolutely LOVE this one yet, but I’m certainly enjoying it much more than before. A little bit of agave goes a long way with Pom Power, as it cuts the tartness just slightly over a much longer steeping (I put the leaves in my tumbler and went to class and work so it was pretty much steeping all day). The tartness of the real pom seeds is pretty wonderful. I’ll definitely bee looking for this one on the shelf again!
