Get lucky

One sip of #7 and you’ll find yourself head over heels. Mysteriously changed. Magically happy. Walking on air. How does it work? Frankly, we don’t know. Our blender came up with it and then just ran off with the girl of his dreams. Maybe it’s the chocolate bits that lower your inhibitions. Or the seductive strawberries. Or the romantic rose petals. Either way, this black tea is seriously lucky.

Ingredients: Chinese black tea, dark chocolate (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin and vanilla), freeze-dried strawberry, red rose petals, natural and artificial flavouring*.

Allergens: Dairy and soy
Price per 50g: $7.98

Ooh la la. Valentine’s Day in a cup, this one is. Chocolatey & fruity & even a little flowery tasting. I’m pretty sure that, when I drink this one, little animated hearts shoot out of my eyeballs, like that cat in the Pepe Le Pew cartoons. Or a manga girl. Anyway. Good stuff!

Had it made in one of them little cups. I tried to steep it for a while but I don’t know, if you get it to go it’s in a teabag and it was pretty weak and a little bitter. Completely different to me than what other people are describing. And it smelled so dang good too!! >:/ Don’t get nothing to go at Davids, I guess.

This tea is very seductive. The flavour profile reminds me of romance. The taste of dark chocolate, strawberries and rose petals stand out in this tea but aren’t to strong and artificial tasting.

Very pleasant tasting with a hint of chocolate and strawberry. Nice as an after dinner tea as it tastes like a dessert!

Definitely not for me. I was careful to follow steeping instructions, but I couldn’t shake the notion that I was drinking perfume.

Sad, as the ingredient list is full of things I like.

The scent of this tea is candy-like, but it doesn’t quite taste as good as it smells. I got a huge waft of chocolate in the dry smell, but it doesn’t reflect at all in the brewed tea. It’s quite bland actually. Milk and agave take away a slight bitterness that I found apparent while sipping this tea black. This is just a sample though, and I have enough for another cup if I ever feel inclined to drink this again. It’s ok, not much to write home about though.
