In a world of temptation, this tisane stands out. It’s a delicately spicy blend of lemongrass, red pepper, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, pineapple, orange peel and coconut. So exotic, so inviting, so warming. And as spring progresses into summer, you’ll find that it’s a refreshingly different iced tea. Try it with a touch of manuka honey for a truly exotic experience. Caffeine-free. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Lemongrass, pink peppercorn, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, pineapple, orange peel, coconut, natural flavouring*

Price per 50g: $6.50

I bought myself just a small bag of this last night as I’ve had it but not bought it before.

I should have got more! Tisanes don’t usually excite me, but this one is so great. It’s lemony, fruity, and a little spicy. It’s so fresh yet warming. Lovely! It’s just so different from anything else I own.

This smells like soft cookies my mom made when I lived home :) Like both summer and Christmas. Don’t ask me how or why but that’s what I’m reminded of when I smell it.

Oh darn. Bit too much of the lemongrass for me. I was really hoping I’d fall in love with this one. The smell is amazing. I can maybe get a hint of cinnamon, but nothing in the way of pineapple or coconut.

Update: As this cools (while I enjoyed my seriously delicious pumpkin pie matcha smoothie) the cinnamon is coming out more. Perhaps there’s hope for this one after all!

While searching for something decaffeinated to drink tonight I came across a sample of this tea. I wouldn’t think of lemongrass and clove going well together but they suit each other very well in this blend. Together with the other ingredients they’re just the right mix of sweet, tart and spicy.

this is the first cold brew i ever consciously made as a cold brew.
i usually just end up with half drank cups and occasionally chose to refrigerate them instead of dumping them out.
i will definitely cold brew more of my herbals during the summer.

do you ever feel like all of your rooibos and herbal teas are really just basically the same tea with just one ingredient taken out and another added?
i’m kinda starting to feel that way.

(except for cocomint cream. you are a unique snowflake to me.)

SIP DOWN!!!

First I have to say that this reminds me a lot of Samurai Mate from Teavana; in smell and flavor.

It make a light yellow liqoure and smells strongly of lemon grass. The main flavors that I got from it was lemon grass cinnamon and clove…. lots of clove. Then again there were two in my 8 oz pot. I am getting light hints of fruit, but it is mostly lemon grass and clove. It didn’t need sweetner, but just a little drop of agave helped to bring out the flavors. I am getting a little bit of coconut; more of a texture then strong flavor. I kinda wanted this to wow me more then it did, but oh well. Still good…..

Overall it was good. I wish I could see how this tea does blended.

I would recommend to anyone that likes lemongrass and chai’s

Wow, I would have never bothered to try this if I didn’t get a sample. This is so good! It’s very unique. It’s lemony, slightly spicy, and slightly fruity. But it’s all very subtle and warm. Many people said it reminded them of Thai Curry and as soon as I tasted it I agreed 100%! There is just something weird about this tea that makes my taste buds dance. Oh, DavidsTea I am impressed yet again..

Ummm, I can take it or leave this tea…

It was tasty iced, but it reminded me of curried rice while I drunk it…. I think heated with some coconut milk would make this tea a little more memorable.

I can’t remember who gave me this sample…but thanks! I really like lemongrass, which is good since that is 90% of the flavor. It is good but would be even better with +50% more pineapple and or coconut flavoring :)

Oh me! Oh my!
It’s so funny, the first time I had this tea, I didn’t like it. Now I drink it a couple times a week, mostly in the evening (often happens after my after-dinner tea, and before my bedtime tea). I prefer it hot over iced. If you leave it to steep for a couple hours and then microwave it, it really gets spicy from the peppercorns. Most of the time I can’t wait that long to drink it, but I love that this tea gives the option of such spiciness!. I love the lemongrass-coconut combination – and I don’t even like coconut. The coconut always makes it feel like the perfect tropical beverage! I love this blend, I think it that it works perfectly but definitely crafted for a certain palate. Probably for people who like to drink their Thai food. Speaking of which, I would love to cook with this, too. I also want to boil it on the stove, chai style, and see how it turns out.
Anyone tried this yet?

I got this in my online shipment as a sample and am I ever glad that I did!
The sample was enough for four people and everybody took a sip and made the “hmm” sound which was a mix of “mmm” and “????”
They all loved it.
It’s an intriguing mix of lemongrass and coconut and it smells amazing. It took me the whole dinner time to realize that it reminded me of thai curry, which didn’t bother me but effectively intrigued me even more.

I don’t add sugar or milk or anything else extra to it. Every time I brew a perfect cup (at least to my tastes) and am very happy with it.
Try it when you need some downtime in the afternoon or something to relax you as soon as you get home from work or school!

I love this tea so much. It was the first 100g of tea I ever bought from DavidsTea. This one and Midsummer Night’s Dream are my two absolute favorite teas ever. You should definitely try Exotica iced! Amazing!

daydrm_believer

Sounds good! What’s Midsummer Night’s Dream like? Similar to Exotica?

Femo

Sorry for the late response! It is like exotica but sweeter. Also I find it’s less tart, and it’s got a great cool aftertaste, due to the mint.
