From DAVIDsTEA

Secret of the opera

When Pavarotti needed to ease a sore throat, he called for tea. Some say it was hot. Others swear it was cold. We think he probably drank it both ways. And that he would have loved this tisane. It’s packed with licorice, chamomile, rosehip, orange peel and peppermint, as well as delicious goji berries. Perfect hot or iced. Caffeine free. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Licorice root, chamomile, rosehips, orange peel, peppermint, goji berries.

Bravissimo is an interesting tea – more for what it does than how it tastes. Taste wise – strong licorice and camomile, very similar to Sweet Dreams in that regard. Citrus notes also very prominent (from the orange and the goji no doubt).

It numbs your throat well. Really well. If the only symptom you’re experiencing is this, I highly recommend this tea.

Funny because I don’t taste much licorice in this tea! I bought this tea when I had a cold and the girls at Davidstea recommended this tea because of the licorice. Truthfully, it didn’t help my cold but I could taste it, that’s for sure. The chamomile is strong, and this tea is SO sweet, I was kind of taken aback that I didn’t need to add anything and it was already sweet on it’s own. Not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose. Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about this tea. I don’t hate this tea, but I’m not a big fan either. It’s not horrible by any means.

At first taste the chamomile is there, but afterwards everything else comes in. It’s quite calming then however it has a lot of sweetness that flies in aswell but don’t get me wrong still delicious and great before bed!

This is one of those teas that is a staple for any tea cupboard centered on wellness.
not overwhelmingly better then any other chamomile infusion I’ve tried.
soothing, warming and great for sore throats, anxiety and late night peace.
great for putting in a thermos when you have a cold or sore throat.

I tried this in store today. The licorice in this tea is absolutely to die for, and I enjoyed it immensely. I will most likely be purchasing some soon, and not just for sore throats!

I really love this tea. As others have mentioned this tea has licorice in it which is exactly what does it for me. Often I find with licorice teas the licorice is too front and centre and it becomes overwhelmingly sweet, but in this case it really is a great finishing note and addition to a great tea that I use on a stressful afternoon, or to help with allergies, coughs and colds.

Meh. It tasted a lot like a bunch of other sleepy/cold remedy/relaxing teas I have, nothing special.

Just like to say that I’m going to avoid licorice. I bought this because I needed a tea I could drink before I went to bed. I had a cough at the time and I wanted something to sooth it.

The chamomile was soothing and the hint of peppermint was delicious. My only problem was the licorice. It had that lingering sensation and a smell/flavour I’m not a huge fan of.

I got used to it after a while. Usually I get lazy and leave my herbal teas steeping for a long time but because of the licorice, I can’t steep it for too long. It’s still a comforting tea before bed.
