Thank you, Ysaurella, for this wonderful tea trade! I hope the teas I sent you have finally arrived, & I also hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed the ones you sent to me!

I love the photograph of this tea! It is so graceful, so beautiful, so enticing. As far as Rose teas go, it was nice. I have had stronger ones, & many weaker ones, & this was a very pleasant cup for me, especially because the flavor was a true rose flavor, not artificial tasting at all.

This was my 2nd cup for my bubble bath, & I chose to have this because the scent of roses can be so soothing, & I’ve been out of sorts today, with a headache & a sense of irritation throughout. These are classic early allergy symptoms for me, including itchy eyes. My oldest daughter, who lives a block away, is having some of the same. I can’t believe we’ve had snow flurries on & off throughout the day, & some kind of allergen in the air already. This tea offered the cup of soothing that I needed.

Rose tea sounds so perfect for a bubble bath!!

:) I agree!
There’s a wonderful essential oils bubble bath that I like from EO, it’s Rose & Chamomile. I’m out of it right now…sigh…

Nice! I need some of that!!

Ysaurella

I’m happy you like it and it helped a little in your day.
Unfortunately I didn’t receive the teas and I am afraid the parcel may have been lost now because it never took so long to receive a parcel or envelope from the USA. I keep a little hope for tomorrow morning when I’ll open my mail box it may be there.

Ysaurella

forgot to say you can order French tea brands in a total piece of mind : I never had any artificial flavour in a French tea brand, whatever the brand is (at least the ones I know ! Kusmi, Mariage Frères, Dammann Frères, Palais des thés, Betjeman & Barton never use artificial flavours in their teas and Nina’s mentioned in a post they are never using neither.)

Ysaurella

I meant peace !!! not piece lol

Terri HarpLady

Ysaurella, I’m so sorry to hear the teas STILL haven’t come!

If you are a tea rose lover, you definitively need to taste the Dammann Frères Rose Tea.

It’s already a pleasure to open the tin, the smell is so wonderful, delicate, just like entering in a garden full of fresh roses – really.
The dry leaves are mixed with a very generous amount of petals, it is gorgeous.
The tea base is a success as well, a delicate Chinese black blend, very mellow, smooth, a perfect companion for the rose flavour.

Of course this is not a complex tea, this is “just” a mono flavoured tea but the choice of the rose flavour is a kind of miracle : so natural, so powerful.
DF website mentions they used Bulgarian rose flavour and this is a good choice : Bulgarian rose are among the best roses, not used in perfume industry but for essential oils.
Roses from Grasse (south of France) were the reference in high couture perfume industry (unfortunately they are so expensive now perfumers use most roses from Morocco or Pakistan)

The second steep is nice but not as amazing as the first one.

A great classic to get in a cupboard.

This is one of the teas I plan to order from DF.

Ysaurella

you may order the violet one as well, it’s really a good one

TheTeaFairy

You know my love for rose tea…I like that you used «mono» to describe it :-) It’s true that they usually don’t have many layers of flavours, rose being such a distinct taste. But what I like the most about a good rose tea is that it’s delicate and powerful at the same time. (the fact that it’s so girly is also a plus!!)
