From Adagio Custom Blends

Blood orange tisane outshines white tangerine (20 percent) and lemon grass (20 percent) in this delicious, refreshing blend. Try it iced for a homage to summer, or drink it hot to reminisce on winter days.
Story

If you have spare mint, add a touch of spearmint for an extra kick. Sweet enough on its own, but add sweetener as desired.

I am annoyed that when I type “Vampire” for this tea in a search, “Edward” pops up. The Twilight Mary Sues are not vampires!

OK. I’m over it.

I love this tea. It’s so refreshing, citrus-y and even revitalizing in a way. Probably helped me get over that Twilight outburst there. :)

Please see other notes. I’m normally not this psychotic.

Tabby

At least your brother doesn’t look EXACTLY LIKE Robert Pattinson. We cannot escape all that Twilight crap. People on the street bother us about it all the time. D:

KeenTeaThyme

OMG, Tabby, that’s terrible! Your poor brother! I give him permission to slap the next person who bugs him about it… ;) Hey, he could open up a side job imitating him! It wouldn’t be that hard since Pattinson or whatevs his name is doesn’t actually ACT! :P

cteresa

This is very nice. This is the right way to make green tea with some “tang” (unlike that Blackberry Mojito), it is pretty balanced! I liked it very much indeed. I am going to make it iced as well to give it a try.

And a really different green tea (with lemongrass and citrus as well), if you ever get a chance to try Mariage Freres Thé sur Le Nil, it reminded me a bit of it as well!

Mmm thankfully I had the thought to bring this sample from KeenTeaTime (KiTT) with me this morning. (Almost had an allergy mishap and drank some tea with “strong hints of coconut” in it! This tea is so yummy I wish we’d had some ice in the office fridge but this is really awesome hot too.

See other note on this tea.

IllBeMother221B

I should mention it is also keeping me calm and quieting the urge to harm several folks here at work. :)

KeenTeaThyme

Glad you like it! It’s also delish iced, too. :) Yes, drink tea instead of committing bodily harm, even though it can be super tempting…

IllBeMother221B

It is still SO very tempting right now. But I am sipping my tea and NOT taking it out of the office with me today!

I used my ingenuitea to brew up five tsps in just over a cup of water, then I drained it into my tea pot and added enough water for five cups of tea, put it in the frig, and now have some bodacious cold tea. This stuff if fabulous.

Oh I love this. Thank you so much for the sample of it, KeenTeaThyme.

I didn’t like Adagio’s blood orange on its own, but this makes it a million times better. The problem with it by itself is it’s too sour and flat, this blend is perfect. It brings out the orange, and you can taste both the sweet and the tart.

It’s good hot or cold. I can’t decide which I like better (tastewise at least, I can tell you my hands wish it were hot again right now). When I am not overly supplied on tea I am buying some of this.

KeenTeaThyme

YAY! Glad it arrived unscathed…and happy to hear you enjoy it. :)

Another sample from AlphaKitty. Eh, this one didn’t do much for me. I think the blood orange has something to do with that, its very overwhelming. Not my cup of tea unfortunately.

This one is a little strong on the hibiscus and citrus—I actually send the Orange Grapefruit because I think it’s kind of like an improved version of this!

Backlog:

Too much hibiscus in this one for my taste. As the tea cools, I pick up on other notes: I can taste the blood orange and the tangerine and lemon notes. I didn’t taste a lot of the white tea. This ends up tasting more like a citrus punch than a tea.

Not my favorite. It’s not bad, I finished my cup after it cooled and enjoyed it as a cool beverage and it was alright.
