From Adagio Custom Blends, Aun-Juli Riddle

Fun, refreshing, and a little unexpected, this tea is soft and creamy and finishes with a sweet hint of berry. * Note * Hi friends I wanted to leave a note to say that somewhere along the line the blend switched from Green Chai to Thai Chai. Both taste good, but I’ve decided to leave the blend with the Thai Chai since that’s what everyone has mostly been reviewing. If you’d like the blend as it was meant to be, please look for the tea FOOLISH TOOK, my alternative tea as I had imagined it.

blended with black tea, hibiscus flowers, rose hips, apple pieces, ginger root, cinnamon bark, dried coconut, lemon grass, cardamom pods, natural creme flavor, natural strawberry flavor, strawberries, natural coconut flavor, raspberry leaves

teas: wild strawberry, cream, thai chai

thank you snow.
i have already packed up all of my tea samples. priorities!! prioriTEAS!!

moraiwe went halfsies with me on her sample tins and sent me a great swap box last week. she even took the time to photocopy the tin covers as labels, and i have the tea samples all lined up pretty in a box on my desk.

this tea MAY have hibiscus in it, but it’s balanced by the spice and lemon grass, so it’s actually just a sort of berry juicy cup. definitely juicy. this tea has ‘springtime drinking’ written all over it.

keychange

You’re so lucky re everything tomorrow being cancelled!

moraiwe

My toner decided to take a dump somewhere in the middle of the photocopying, so um. Sorry about that. I was mostly just hoping they were still legible. :X

This was a creamy strawberry chai, which doesn’t sound like it would work, but for some reason it tasted great to me! The chai was light, which helped, and the creaminess of the strawberry was in the forefront. A truly unique blend I feel. I would consider picking up more, perhaps.

That sounds like a really interesting combination of flavors.

Fourth from the set (technically 5th since I skipped White tea of Kings)

Dry smell wise I get not quite chai, not quite lemongrass/vegetal, but definitely sweet, creamy strawberry scent. The chai is there, but it’s a different sort of chai than is in the other blends. This is more, errr, mellow?
Totally nope on the flavor for me though. I took two sips and couldn’t do more. I’m not sure if it was chai part, or something about the strawberry but it just didn’t agree with my palate. I did get an impression of strawberry/berry sweetness. But it was kinda grassy too.
Maybe this might do better as a cold brew for me, though I don’t really feel like making an attempt after this first impression. Lol!

It smells amazing right out of the bag. Definitely strong with the berry. When made, I used sugar and a little milk the first time. I can always taste chai really strong/spicy and need something to tone it down (milk). I could still taste the berry underneath, as just a nice hint.
