This has the same pumpkin flavoring that I dislike, but with milk, the spices make it taste okay enough. The fake fruitiness isn’t great, so this advent sample has been plenty. Without that one flavoring, the spices would have made this a pretty nice chai.

Advent Day 12, From the Depths of the Grab Bag.

“Smells something fruity-floral. Maybe nutmeg. sniffs steam Cinnamon, some kind of warm spice, maybe apple – apple cider. sip OH laughing Oh, okay. sips Maybe some star anise in there. cackles like a witch, she knows there’s no star anise It’s alright. It’s a little flat. It’s not one of my favorites. Maybe some vanilla in there. Alright, what is it. I’d say it’s a 40. I wouldn’t recommend it.”

I found out she doesn’t like clove, which has been in several of these teas.

Cameron B.

I burst out laughing at “cackles like a witch”… XD

Courtney

These notes are a favourite. Cackles was A+!

Todd

Hahaha nice

Leafhopper

LOL! I always get a chuckle out of these reviews.

Cameron B.

I totally cackled earlier and I immediately thought of you and Kiki! XD

This reminds me of everything that’s good about Thanksgiving dinner: leads with the pumpkin; then I catch the black tea and spices; with cranberry sauce for dessert. Even better with feet up, two candles burning (one French toast; one vanilla), and a fresh peanut butter cookie that hubby pulled out of the oven a few minutes ago. A good twist on pumpkin spice.

Courtney

This whole note sounds amazing!

ashmanra

O.O That all sounds heavenly!

gmathis

(I omitted the un-vacuumed rug with cat fur sprinkles, sink full of dirty dishes, basket of unfolded laundry in plain sight, and the perpetual clutter in the Corner of Guilt behind me. That would’ve messed up the ambiance.)

ashmanra

Gmathis – Were you…,were you drinking tea at MY house? That was dog hair!

CuppaGeek ADVENT CALENDAR, December 12

A nice tea indeed, but overall somehow forgettable. It was spicy, but mellow; do I noticed pumpkin there? I think so, but again, quite weakly.

Yep, it was autumn/Fall feeling; but somehow in the middle of the road. Something is lacking; maybe more of pumpkin flavour? Maybe more of autumn fruit profile as apples, maybe cranberries, maybe plums, pears, whatever?

For a little moment I noticed maple syrup, I think mostly in the aroma of dry blend. It’s not bad, but I had higher expectations.

CuppaGeek Advent Calendar – Day 8

It’s funny Sil said she expected apple because if I am being honest, I had to double check that there wasn’t apply in this because I was getting a lot of what I thought was a tart apple flavor. I guess the tart is the cranberry. I think something about the mix of spices and fruitiness read apple cider to me and tricked my brain a bit. It’s nice. It’s Fall. It’s maybe a bit middle of the road for me though.

derk

My housemate also thought apple and apple cider.

Cuppageek Advent Day 6

I had this with brekkie today. It went really well with waffles and turkey summer sausage, which I only made because I wanted to give my dog a treat. Ha ha!

It is a nicely brisk tea and I mostly taste black tea and cloves. That made it cut through the maple syrup nicely but I really didn’t get the cranberry and vanilla flavors, probably overpowered by the sweet breakfast and salty sausage.

A great tea to go with my morning meal today, but not a favorite profile so not on my wishlist.

Dustin

Now I want waffles!

Nichole/CuppaGeek

I think I need to umpf up the cranberry flavor for this one. Glad you still enjoyed it tho.

Advent Calendar Day 1 (for me)

A little excited today because i have TWO advents, but only one of them is tea. Husband drew this one out of the calendar today for my tea advent and it was a pretty tasty tea. I fully expected apples in this tea based on the name but instead if was a fruity, pumpkin spiced blend. Thoroughly enjoyed as a first day tea!

(Other advent today is a jam advent from “Bonne Maman” Todays jam was pear and mirabelle plum). Nugget was a fan.

Cameron B.

YAAAS someone else is doing Bonne Maman! (high fives)

Sil

hahahaha yay!!! It seemed totally ridiculous but i’m so happy now. Every morning we get a new tiny jam…plus i’m sure kiddo will love the jars after we clean them!

Cameron B.

Toast and matcha is my new advent breakfast. XD

Roswell Strange

I saw someone else on IG today post about Bonne Maman too – now I need to remember to try and find who it was, so that I can share it with you both. I’ve never done an advent before other than tea/chocolate, but y’all have me super curious about this jam advent!

tea-sipper

YES for Sil also going the jam advent! haha
