When you’re lazy and cranky, bagged tea is an excellent choice. And this one isn’t too bad. I picked up a Celestial Seasonings herbal tea sampler at the grocery (good default bagged tea company) and I went with this one rather than their normal chamomile.

The bag (leaves, I guess?) smell sweet itself, almost like candy. It’s fun. I can sense it a little in the tea itself, and I do taste a hint of honey. Apparently there’s vanilla in there, too? Sure, I’ll take it. Hey, it’s soothing and goes down easy. I have no complaints.

That sounds like a good tea for when I’m under the weather. Might be worth a try.

Angela

That was my inspiration. Nothing quite beats herbals when you’re feeling kinda crummy.

A pretty sweet tea that’s fairly calming. A lot of the favors don’t taste very authentic, though. I can’t really pick out either the honey or the vanilla. It all seems to blend together. Nice and easy to drink, especially at night, but I can’t see myself buying boxes of this and toting it around to my friends.

Smelled great, not much taste. Disappointed and unimpressed. I really want to find a chamomile tea that I like. This was part of a sampler box so not added to cupboard or shopping list. I bag left.

I recommend looking for a whole leaf chamomile, preferably loose leaf. If you must have a bagged version, try either Two Leaves and a Bud chamomile (it’s not flavored, but it doesn’t need to be, it’s actually quite nice) or Teapigs. These are my two favorite bagged chamomiles (and I’m not all that crazy about chamomile to begin with).

Thank you! Now that I have a proper infuser, I’m not confined to bags. I’ll go looking for those two and put them on my shopping list.

I like this but in comparison to other honey chamomiles, this isn’t very impressive. Not bad for a bagged tea, I suppose.

This is one of my Mom’s fave teas. When I first tried it with real honey as a sweetener, I thought it had a strange artificial-sweetener-like aftertaste. But a couple of nights ago I had it with brown sugar and steeped in a larger-than-usual type mug. Wow. What a difference! Much nicer than CS’s regular chamomile.

A Co-Worker brought this in to try and fetched me a cup of hot water and i set it to steeping, I forgot about it for a while(10 minutes or so) and when i got around to adding in a little honey, it was a very tasty tea, i liked how strong and tasty it was.

It tasted slightly yeasty, with hints of licorice, and was very nice even when it cooled off, I bet it would be very tasty as an iced tea.

yum yum yum, this is comfort in a cup! this is a honey sweet chamomile with a heady vanilla cloud floating overhead. almost reminds me of the kind of vanilla used in Shalimar! my Aunt loves big Oriental perfumes & Shalimar was her signature scent for the better part of my childhood. Then she switched to some special signature blend of Vanilla & Coconut. and yet again, i smell that vanilla in this tea.

this is a very luxurious & sensual honey-vanilla tisane. and i can really taste the apple note from the chamomile at the center of it all. there is a strong, sweet honey note in both the aroma & the flavor, and the liquor is a rich golden brown. meanwhile, the vanilla insists on parading around in her marabou feather wrap, like the diva she is.

this may seem like much ado about a bagged herbal tea, but i really feel it’s quite unique.

Wish I had something besides this to soothe sore throat, but it feels good, at least.

Celestial Seasonings is a brand that I am never exactly wowed by, but it’s also hard to be disappointed by a bagged tea that you bought for three bucks at a supermarket chain. You know exactly what you’re getting into.

In this case, I would call it pretty enjoyably over all. Heavy on the chamomile and very sweet, but also incredibly soothing on a sore throat or a stressed mind. It’s a good evening tea to unwind with when you don’t want to break the budget.

I’m not big on chamomile at all. but I tried this thinking that it would help me on my journey to become closer to liking Chamomile. The sweetness of H.V. Chamomile did add more flavor and did appeal to my taste buds and help with that grassy taste at the end of the first chamomile i had tasted in the past of tasting regular chamomile. yes i did buy the herbal tea sampler also. Over all I think this is good for night tea for relaxing.
side notes
yes this is a bag tea but i think i don’t mind it this way actually. I didn’t use any sugar or milk when tasting this but usually don’t add any so i don’t even think about saying this part but reading others tasting blogs. I will add this to make it more complete
