From Celestial Seasonings

This luscious brew recalls an afternoon spent sipping strawberry-infused frozen treats on a perfect white-sand beach. Tropic of Strawberry’s brisk pineapple, creamy coconut and plump strawberries are made even livelier by the sweetness of fruity Thai hibiscus. This most tropical of teas is heavenly served hot – and even better over ice.
— Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster Since 1975

The aroma of the steeped cup gives dried strawberries and, in the background, the smell that an old canvas tent has. The color is a deep purple-brown.

The taste has sweetness, but is not cloyingly sweet. Mostly, it is a tart, dried berry flavor with banana aftertaste. Some hibiscus tartness is here, but it is a lighter note here. The chicory is there, too, also a light note. I can’t taste banana or coconut explicitly.

This has a surprisingly more velvety mouth feel than other CS herbal fruit blends.

I have had this steeped by sitting in a pitcher in the fridge recently, and I like it hot. I had two cups today.

I was interested in the blend of the flavors. I love chicory in tea blends. The dominant flavor is hibiscus, though it doesn’t have the sour tang it usually boasts. This brew was a pretty rosy pink, lightly sweet, and mild. Banana was nice, not too much. Couldn’t honestly taste coconut. Strawberry is very mild, wish it had more. For the money, it’s a good tea. I would buy this tea again if it had more strawberry. If you love banana tea, this is surely for you! There’s a loooong banana aftertaste.

Yuck! First brew and probably over steeped, but the overwhelming flavor I got was artificial banana. It reminded me of the flavoring of liquid medicines when I was a child. I will probably try it again, sigh, as I cannot give up on it so easily. Maybe if steeped for less time the flavor will mimic something enjoyable.

Cofftea

I can’t stand ANYTHING banana. I wouldn’t even try it if I knew it was in there.

This was my go to when CS discontinued Strawberry Fields.
Respectable in its own right, but toss in some taste of the islands (coconut/pineapple) and I ended up finding myself addicted to a whole different tea (even if I still have a soft spot for Strawberry Fields) :P

I love this one iced on a hot day! Sweetened or unsweetened. I The strawberry and coconut flavors were present, and it tasted somewhat of bananas to me as well. I tried it hot and it was good, but this to me is a tea for a hot day, sipped over ice. The color was pretty on top of it all.

Definitely a sweeter tea, especially with a little added honey. Has a slight coconut/banana aftertaste that I wasn’t expecting but overall not too bad!

I really like this tea! I probably couldn’t drink it everyday like some of my teas however, it’s good for when you want to take a break from your default tea just to have something different. :)

I did like this tsane for a change of pace. I can’t help but love the boxes and the many sayings; meditate on the sayings while drinking your tea.
