From Capital Teas

A brilliant red color in the cup, our Blueberry White (organic) is chock-full of organic blueberries, natural blueberry flavor, and all of blueberries’ healthy nutrients. Acerola cherry flavor adds tart, fruity notes that lift blueberry out of the ordinary and enhance the complex character of organic white tea, which has the profile of both green and black teas. In addition, you’ll enjoy the nutritional benefits of drinking antioxidant-packed white tea. Live better with the natural boost that vitamins and minerals in hibiscus, rose hips, and cornflower provide. Notes of blackberry add slight sweetness and tang for a tea that pleases hot or cold.

Ingredients: Organic white tea, organic hibiscus, organic rosehips, organic blueberries, natural blueberry flavor, organic cornflowers, natural blackberry flavor, natural acerola cherry flavor

Steeping Instructions: 1.5 tsp, 175 F, 3-4 min.

Happy National Blueberry Cheesecake Day! (I’m having a cheesecake ice cream right now, but it is lemon, not blueberry. Still delicious, though!)

I’m in my “herbal only” hours and honestly… couldn’t find any blueberry tisanes in my stash that weren’t “too new” (I’m trying to keep all “newer” packages air sealed until I clear out my old stash!) This tea is definitely old, but it’s also a white tea… I know people say white tea “isn’t very caffeinated” but there have been occassions I got pumpin’ after a cup, so I’m not so sure how much I believe that. I’m just hoping that this won’t keep me up past my bedtime!

Cold brewed. The cup is very faintly pink from the hibi-hip. The sip is very blueberry! A sweet blueberry that reminds me of the blueberry in a muffin. I love hibi-hip but am not getting any tart/tangy/fruit punchy notes in this. Perhaps the white tea base is a stronger flavor prepared warm, but at least in my cold brew, I’m really just tasting the blueberry. There is a very faint cucumber/melon rind water flavor in the background. I think I’ll have to try this one as a tea soda soon!

Flavors: Blueberry, Cucumber, Fruity, Melon, Sweet

That cheesecake ice cream sounds tasty! I’ve gotten super caffeinated from gongfuing white teas, though cold brewing a flavoured one might have less of an effect.
