I was able to taste Capital Teas at the Philadelphia Coffee and Tea Festival. I had seen them in my tea magazines and have come very close to putting in an order. Since tasting them, I will definitely order off of them-I have many of their teas listed on my Christmas list!
This was not a tea I would typically be drawn too, green is not my tea of choice usually. However, I am so glad I tried this. It was amazing to say the least. The smell is very aromatic when brewing, but then all 3 Capital Teas I bought are. I think you can taste all the flavors noted in the ingredients, the combination really accents the sencha green tea. I have been making everyone taste this, including my daughters. My oldest said-tastes like tea, but it is a little better than the others. That coming from her is a compliment, honest!
My 4 oz tin is almost gone. I hope they have this around after Christmas or at least make it again next year. It is a wonderful keeper in my book!

I am so glad I found you too! I actually just ordered some more tea on your website. Can’t wait to get it. I am going to try and get to one of your Tea Bars soon.

Tea Time Magazine, you can find out more info about them here: http://www.teatimemagazine.com/index.aspx
Wonderful magazine I first received as a gift from my Mother-In-Law, who knows I love tea and saw a teapot that I own on one of the covers.
Tea Magazine is another, info for them:

I found them on Pinterest while looking at tea. Neat Pinterest site-check it out.

Philadelphia Coffee & Tea Festival #5

My first thought when I tasted this tea is that it reminded me a lot of Enchanted Forest – mainly because of the almond. I love almond; adore it, and if a tea has a nice almond flavor I am inclined to love it.

This tea is no exception. Unlike the fruity sweetness of Enchanted Forest, this tea is more savory and heavy. A perfect tea to curl up under a blanket with while the temperature’s dropping outside. I didn’t pick up some of this at the show but I’m second-guessing myself now.

Good thing there are several stores near me.

I generally don’t like green teas unflavored, so I’m not going to describe the taste of the base tea, but as a whole, I love this tea. To me this tea tastes like Christmas. I drink it in place of Talk of the Town November – January and I look forward to it every year.

Usually I love teas with orange and nuts, and this tea is no exception. The peppercorns and the almonds combine to form a slightly spicy note that I love. I really don’t taste any orange flavor in the tea, but I’m sure it’s there.

I could probably drink this tea and Candy Cane Lane from November through January every year and not get tired of them. If that’s not high praise, I don’t know what is.
