From Canton Tea Co

Pouchong is grown high on the Xu family farm in Wenshan, the mountainous interior of Taipei County. The leaves are large, dark and very lightly tumbled and baked so they are around 25% oxidised. Though the locals call it a green tea it is almost an oolong. The peppermint leaves come from an organic farm in Somerset and have been ‘rubbed’ to release more of their flavour. The combination of these two leaves is a refreshingly fragrant infusion which can be made into an iced tea for hot summer days – or drunk after supper as a soothing tisane which is low in caffeine and high in antioxidants.

I got this is part of my Tea & Chocolat set this Christmas, it was a Steepster Select offering. I was not sure how I would like this one but in fact I was pleasantly surprised. I found it to be absolutely perfectly balanced. It was very smooth and not overly minty. I can tell this will be amazing iced, and great on a hot summer day. A long time from now I know but it did evoke some memories of what is to come. Delicious! I anticipate bumping this up once I have tried it iced.
