From Camellia Sinensis

2 tsp, 90C, 5-7 minutes

Composition : Raspberry, juniper, wintergreen, coltsfoot, yarrow.
(Rubus idaeus, Juniperus communis, Gaultheria procumbens, Tussilago farfara, Achillea millefolium)

Here is an ingenious mix of forest plants. Its soft and basic liquor is vegetal and marked profoundly by the aromatic oil of wintergreen. Juniper berries deploy their coniferous notes (bitter resins) and their tannic and spicy pungent character evoke the sensation of Chinese cinnamon. Its finish stays intense and refreshing!

This mixture from the boreal forest provides support and strength to the reproductive and urinary system. It helps sustain the body during infection or inflammation. Juniper and wintergreen have essential oils which serve to relieve pain. These essential oils added to the astringency of raspberry and coltsfoot make an outstanding tonic for digestion and all conditions which cause mucus (colds, flu, cystitis, etc.).

Not recommended during pregnancy.

I’m not sure if I knew there was wintergreen in this tea when I got it, but I’m REALLY happy with it. OM NOM NOM.

Quite fresh, but with a really delicate wintergreen freshness, not peppermint or spearmint. It’s kinda like pine forests on a crisp day with snow on the ground. Kinda.

Mmm, wintergreen…

rosebudmelissa

I’ve only tried one tea with wintergreen – stash’s merry mint green tea, and it was a fun change of pace. I’ll have to try this one eventually since it’s herbal.

Handmade Tea’s tea this month has wintergreen, I’m looking forward to it.

I really don’t like spearmint, and mostly don’t like peppermint. So wintergreen is a nice alternative! It also looks so cool because they just mixed whole leaves and twigs and berries and flowers. Definitely a feast for the eyes as well as the tongue. :)

Camellia Sinensis has certainly become one of my favourite companies if not my most favourite. I don’t even want to look at the budget thread and see how much I’ve spent there this year. Adding this to my wishlist though; it sounds great.
