A delightful black tea handpicked by the BRUU team during a visit to Sri Lanka. It’s light, full leaf, delicate, yet full of flavour and one of the freshest teas you will find in the UK.
What it is?
A delightful black tea handpicked by the BRUU team during a visit to Sri Lanka. It’s light and delicate, and still full of flavour, and one of the freshest teas you will find in the UK.
Why we love it
This loose-leaf tea has been manufactured using the traditional orthodox technique practiced in Sri Lanka for 150 years. The method calls for a short fermentation that preserves the quality and delicate flavours of the tea.
Where it’s from
From the Nuwara Eliya region in Sri Lanka. Known as Lovers Leap tea around the world, the region is rich with green pastures, natural water falls to feed the estates and beautiful blue skies, during the growing season. This tea is from the Pedro Tea Estate, grown at 5,700 feet above sea level.
How our drink hits the senses
Earthy and almost floral this BRUU smells divine – like it was picked yesterday!
The taste journey
It is so light yet full of flavour. Best served without milk and with a touch of sugar – which is how the estate owner served it to the BRUU team. It tastes like that time when someone made you a REALLY great cup of tea.
Best enjoyed;
1tsp // 100°C // 2-3 mins
