Nice chocolatey, nutty goodness with more sipping of this one. Indulged with a mystery book in a bath after a tiring day. Does make me remember I forgot my order of chocolate though

I can’t say too much about this tea because I was in such a rush drinking it yesterday. It was tasty, with definite bitter coffee/dark chocolate flavor permeating. It’s a dessert tea without a whole lot of sweetness (so my partner enjoyed it more than expected). It seems like it would have been perfect for me, so maybe the rush was impacting my rating, but I just sort of felt… meh about it.

BrutaliTeas Advent Calendar 2022 – Day 7

I love maté and coffee-flavored teas, so I was excited to see this one.

It’s actually a little bitter somehow? Not terribly, just a smidge. I do taste the earthy roasted maté, which is nice. However, the chocolate flavoring is ruining it for me. Not that it’s bad or anything, I just don’t like chocolate flavoring and here it has a boozy taste as well. I pick up on the almond flavoring in the finish, which is interesting. The combination with the boozy chocolate gives it an almost chocolate-covered cherry vibe? Strange that there’s no cream element, given the inspiration…

It’s fine but not something I would order because chocolate flavoring. :P

This might be my favorite of their tea names.

YES, it’s a great name. Clever, but somehow it should have been obvious!

It was a nice cozy coffee-like wake-up call for advent day seven, but I definitely preferred it as a latte. I probably won’t grab more of this one but I wouldn’t mind drinking it if it was offered to me.

Advent day 10! I’m not a huge coffee fan, so was happy to discover that this had a pretty muted coffee profile. I definitely picked up on some chocolate and cream notes along with the coffee. Added some oat milk and it rounded everything out nicely.

Advent day 10. I love tiramisu tea, so I was super excited to try this. When I steeped it up it seemed really strong. A few sips in a I decided it needed some cream to mellow it out a bit. It has the right level of coffee flavor and some chocolate, but those mostly show up in the finish. The sip is kind of plain. It’s like my tastebuds don’t know what to make of this tea until after I swallow. I feel like I’ve had tiramisu teas that tasted really good in the sip AND the finish. :/
