Tea For One from Bodum

Tea For One

Say goodbye to tea bags and enjoy a perfect cup of tea with this stylish Tea For One set. Just like a Bodum teapot, it allows free-swirling tea leaves to release their full potential, but on a smaller, individual scale! The finely woven plastic filter ensures that leaves and kernels remain within the strainer while brewing, allowing the aroma of the tea to fully evolve without the messy remains of tea leaves escaping into the cup. The multi-functional silicone lid helps to keep the water warm while the tea is brewing and after brewing, use it as a saucer for the tea infuser.

I just bought this last night and tried it out today. I am completely satisfied with its performance and I love being able to see the color of the brewed tea. It’s a little more difficult to see what’s happening with the leaves, but I could see well enough to get the idea as they unfurled and sank.

I deliberately picked a white tea with what I hoped would be subtle accents to find out whether the filter contributed to the taste in any way. It did not.

This one’s going to live at work but I think I’ll probably get one or two more — one for home and one to stash at my sister’s place until she begins to understand what she’s been missing, at which time I MAY get her one, too.

This is a beautiful and sensible Tea for One Set.
I love being able to see the color of the tea, and because of the double walled glass feature it really does keep your hands cool with hot tea.
The infuser is very fine, so I really do not see how any leaves would end up in your brew.
The cup is light and comfortable in the hand.
However the glass almost feels a little too light.
I have not had it long and maybe it is tougher than it feels, but I am constantly concerned about breaking it.
It just has a more delicate feel to it.
And I am a clumsy person.
But, it has not broke yet and I hope it will not anytime soon, because I enjoy using it immensely.

This is the perfect solution for someone who doesn’t want to bother with tea pots. It holds 12 ounces of tea (or whatever other beverages you might put in it), and is all-in-all well-made.

The double-walled glass is incredibly nice to look at – it’s as though the tea is suspended in the air. Beautiful. It also doesn’t get too hot to hold, even if you pour boiling water into it. I personally dislike cup handles, so this is perfect for me. The double layer keeps your tea hot – or cold, if that’s your thing!

The plastic mesh filter it comes with is incredibly well-made. Quite easy to clean, too.

The plastic cover, too, is very nice. It keeps the tea hot. I had some recently brewed black tea in this thing, put the cover on it – an hour later, it was still nice and hot. As a plus, you can put the filter on top of it so that things don’t get messy.

It’s available in several colors. I myself got a white one.

I love the double walled bodum glasses! I saw this on sale for $11. I wished I bought it now.

This needs to go on my Birthday wish list in triplicate, so I can have one at each of the childcare sites I work at and never have to worry about carrying tea, and tavel mug and this and that. I can just carry enough tea for the day and it will make for a blissful day.

I have an older model of this Bodum Tea for One, and I use it all the time to brew loose tea at work. The only complaint I have is the mesh gets stained easily and it’s not easy to clean it off. Doesn’t affect the function of the infuser, just cosmetically it doesn’t look nice. I recommend this simple system otherwise!

I got one of these in gray, and I love it. I use it all the time for loose-leaf tea when I’m just brewing for myself.

The clear walls allow me to see how the tea is brewing, but because they’re double walled I can still hold it even when it’s filled with steaming hot water. The tea filter is big enough to give the tea leaves a bit of room to expand, and does a great job filtering out pretty much everything solid. The lid also doubles as a holder for the filter, which means I don’t have to search around for a spare plate or something to rest it on or worry about dripping liquid everywhere. And it’s easy to clean. :)

Beautiful glassware – Used this + the included steeper as my daily brewer for years.

Sometimes local stores will carry the glass for cheaper than on Amazon. Dropping this useful hint here since it’s hard to have just one!

Decent infuser & cup set that can be interchanged with others. Great alternative to a teapot when I’m the only one drinking tea, or if my partner and I have different tea cravings at the time. I often use just the infuser filter and cover with an everyday mug, as I’m afraid of shattering the glass Bodum cup especially when it has no handle. However most mugs don’t retain heat as well as the double-walled glass of the Bodum cup. Its also visually appealing to have around.

If there was one thing I would change, it would be the filter material. A metal mesh would be better as I found with dark teas, it stains the white mesh of the filter and doesn’t get as clean as before after washing.

I loved my Bodum Tea for One Tea. It is very delicate, however, and my husband accidentally smashed the double walled glass. I still use the infuser with a regular mug.

I received this as a Christmas present last year. It’s a nice size when I want just a single cup of tea. I like the double wall, especially because I prefer cups that don’t have handles. Now that I have a Steepster from David’s Tea, however, I don’t seem to use the filter as often anymore.
