One of 2 new offerings from Pasha for 2022, this tea exhibits strong menghai character, a dense flavour, nice kuwei (pleasant bitterness) and gentle floral quality. While there is some typical roughness on the tongue, the soup is still quite smooth, with a thick, clingy huigan that refuses to leave.
Pasha is often hyped due to its proximity to Laobanzhang, with the formula of “70% Laobanzhang, 30% Bingdao” being applied. The percentage split could probably be debated, but either way, this tea has a pleasant balance of dense and aggressive flavour, with a nice floral quality and fragrance.
The material comes from qiaomu (arbor trees) that grow in an excellent environment that sees very little human intervention. This tea is thoroughly enjoyable now, but we also expect great things from it in the future, which is why we’ve made plenty of room in storage to see how it does over the year.
