From American Tea Room

A fine Japanese green tea Sencha blended with Peach (The Taoist Symbol of Immortality) and passion fruit. A very smooth finish and one of our most popular blends.

I reviewed this one on Teaviews and the Sencha used in the blend is really top notch for a flavored tea blend. It leaves behind a very creamy mouthfeel that I found quite impressive. Add a pinch of German rock cane sugar for a delicous creamy, peachy treat. I added some of this one to my personal stash.

Sipdown no. 22 of 2017 (no. 303 total). A sample.

This one was also a nice work tea. It was better when I didn’t think too much about it but just let it play the soundtrack of my morning.

The problem for me is, with most fruity infused teas, the smell of the leaves is entrancing but the taste is never as good. Unfortunately, this tea didn’t hit the mark for me. I had hope because it was described as a sencha base, but it didn’t have the qualities of a sencha that I like when brewed. It tasted dark, and bitter, and I don’t think I oversteeped or temp’d it. I will try it again because I bought a few oz of it, but the two times I’ve had it so far didn’t wow me. I’ll probably stick to pure teas from them in the future.

A nice light green. I put 1.5tsp in with ~8oz of 175F water. The liquid is light yellow-green, and in my opinion tasted the best while very warm. The peach notes are there but delicate, and I wonder if a touch of rock sugar might bring them out more. When the cup was warm there was no bitterness or astringency, and only a mild vegetal taste. Not what I expected based on my past experiences with sencha having a more briny/seaweed taste. As the cup cooled to lukewarm there was a more pronounced astringent quality.

I remember having some of Den’s Teas flavored senchas in the past and found them more pleasing, so for the price I probably wouldn’t recommend this over them.

This I’s my first cup today but my second actual. I just don’t always post every time I drink a tea. This looks like green tea with peachy yellow like specks. The tea smells like green tea and the other ingredients. I steeped a short time. The taste green tea with tartness from either the green tea or the passionfruitwith abit of peach,I don’t have much experience with passionfruit.
I think this I’s a good tasting tea. But I wan’t a really intense peach tea. I am not sure how to score this but this I’s good and worth a try.
