I had a cup of the sample I recently ordered of this one along with some holiday gifts. Adagio has a coffee company as well now and I was able to order at the same time and also use a free shipping coupon they sent me. I remember this one being quite artificial in taste which isn’t surprising. It reminded me more of caramel than butterscotch though like a caramel coffee creamer. I did drink this one with some non-dairy milk added which made it nice and creamy. It was dessert-y and yummy but I’ll have to see if I coax the butterscotch out as opposed to caramel.

A decent mild flavored tea. Flavoring is not overpowering, but nothing I would drink everyday. Would buy sample size again on sale.

The tea advent box from Skysamurai had some extra Adiago samples in it, so I randomly chose one this morning. This is not bad, tastes like butterscotch pudding, but it does have an artificial aftertaste. I might be tempted to get more of this butterscotch if I didn’t fondly remember Butiki’s Walnut banana butterscotch. THAT was a good butterscotch tea!

Discovering Adagio teas, episode #6 (out of 12).
Lovely aroma of dry tea from the zip bag – fruit pie, milk chocolate, caramel, butter cookies and butterscotch, of course.
It’s a bit different after steeping. The aroma is dominated by butterscotch flavouring and baked apple, with some flowery notes more in the background.
Slight sweetness in taste, underlined by solid maltiness and very full, creamy body, with no bitterness nor astringency.
Very good dessert tea, not overdone with sweetness or flavourings.

This is a tasty dessert tea with milk and sugar added. The butterscotch comes through clearly without being overpowering. I’m enjoying it more than I’ve enjoyed most of Adagio’s flavored black teas.

I was craving a butterscotch tea today… even went looking for butterscotch chips to add… but nope, none around. :D

It’s the right season for it, for sure! I have two different ones that I’ll definitely be enjoying over the holidays.
