From Adagio Teas

No, it’s not witch-ful thinking… our Cat Scratch blend is wickedly delightful! Indulgent and robust, this tea blends black cat shaped sprinkles with cinnamon and our customer favorite… Tiger Eye. WARNING: Don’t steep this tea too late, or you may start to think you’re hearing things going bump in night!

Sample from VariaTEA! I have this idea that somehow i’ll finish all the samples i have from variatea this month…but i don’t really expect to see that happen. Working from home lots is helping, but i still think there are too many of them. lol

I have mostly misses with Adagio, largely because of their black tea bases. This one is no exception to that. it’s not a BAD tea, but i find that whatever base tea it is that they usually use, makes all their teas taste too similar and not at all what i want. This was largely a cup of cinnamon black to me, with maybe a hint of something else (now that i’m looking at ingredients, it’s probably the caramel). Again, not a bad tea and if you like adagio teas this might really work for you. but for me? I prefer other flavoured tea companies.

Cameron B.

I feel the same way about Adagio… Meh at best.

teaqueen

+1 about the black tea bases they use. Yuck.

Sil

there’s an oolong that they do that i’m ok with…and a couple herbals. But pretty sure i haven’t found a black tea i really like.

This one is surprisingly tasty. It has a lot of caramel but not just a plain caramel, it’s like a caramel with a bit of chocolate. It is slightly astringent though. Not bad as far as Adagio teas are concerned. Thank you Cameron B for sharing this one!

Sipdown! (3)

Technically these Wicked Teas are from a sampler, but I’m still counting them as full sipdowns. And there’s nothing you can do to stop me, nyah!

This is one of the better ones in the sampler. It’s sort of a melange of caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon that somehow comes out tasting a bit like hazelnut.

It’s a vague dessert-y black tea, nothing special. But to be fair, I’ve yet to be impressed by anything from Adagio.

These teas were definitely on the better side of Adagio blends. Still not amazing but surprisingly good for the company. Thank you for sharing!

Cameron B.

You’re very welcome! I think I’ve satisfied my curiosity when it comes to Adagio, and won’t feel the need to order from them again.

VariaTEA

They get me with their fandom stuff and their cute blends like these. I know I normally won’t like their teas but I find myself wanting them for their names or something. So basically their marketing team knows what they are doing lol.

Cameron B.

I definitely agree with you on the fandom teas, a cute theme makes everything better!
