I woke up this morning with the migraine-from-hell. I spent most of the morning on the back porch, knitting and sipping this tea, mostly because that was about the most I could manage to do. The jasmine flavor and scent is incredibly rich and soothing. I like jasmine teas, and I like Adagio’s Jasmine Pearls tea a lot, but this is much, much better. The silver needles tea marries with the jasmine very well. The second steep is better than the first – I noted that on the first steep, some of the leaves did not get saturated with water, even after a seven minute steep. The second steep really brings out the full flavor of this tea. That said, I wouldn’t refuse a cup of the first steep, either.

I am actually (so far) a very big fan of Jasmine. It’s slightly reminiscent of Jasmine Green Tea Pearls, but with that beautiful sweet, mild, and delicate Silver Needle aftertaste. It’s a relatively strong Jasmine flavor and the Silver Needle tea is a bit pushed off to the side (to the point of being, as previously stated, an aftertaste).

The scent alone is reason enough to try this tea though. As others have mentioned it’s a very relaxing scent, and it really enhances the experience (yes, experience) that having this tea is.

It’s a very quiet tea and I feel like going to sleep right now, I don’t know what it is, but it’s making me drowsy like no other tea has before. I think I found the perfect thing to help me get to sleep.

My goodness, what an amazing tea. For starters, the tea leaves were very fresh and had a lot of the original pollen (some incorrectly attribute this to dust). The Jasmine scenting process must have been done exquisitely delicately and with great precision, as I found not a single jasmine petal in a half pound amount of this tea, and as I looked through it all, there were very, very few broken bits. The leaves did dance in my glass infuser, as a good white needle tea should. The taste was an exquisite, mildly sweet white tea with a perfect coupling of Jasmine. Such a relaxing tea… And excellent as a cold brew.

I like the subtle sweetness mixed with the fragrance of Jasmine. Not the best tea of its kind but pretty good. I’ve been stalking their site waiting for a come back.

Smells of Jasmine of course, almost too much jasmine. I admit floral addition’s to tea is usually not my schtick but my wife loves this stuff, so I had to see what I was missing. Floral notes seem to back off as the tea cools letting more of the silver needle come out to play.

Taste is of I can only assume jasmine since that is a new taste for someone familiar with straight silver needle, however it does let more of the silver needle come through than I expected from the scent to start. Not as many layers or as much complexity in the flavor but that would be hard to preserve through the addition of the jasmine in my opinion. All in all I will be sticking with my normal silver needle, since I like it just fine without the added jasmine.

If you are more of a “nose” tea drinker this one probably needs to be marked way up, assuming you like the aroma of Jasmine. For me I miss the normal delicate duel for my taste buds attention that occurs from adagio’s normal silver needle.

I definitely need to order some samples of Straight Silver Needle from other sources. Rishi’s wasn’t as good as Adagio’s… Any suggestions?

Oh boy! very good cup of white. It takes a few sips before you can appreciate the delicateness of this tea, but its there. Jasmine in this tea is more prominent than the silver needle but then again silver needle is very subtly to begin with. thats not to say the jasmine is overpowering just that its is slightly more prominent. A very good cup that i will look forward to again.

I’m on my second steeping of this today. The white tea is quite delicate; it has a fresh, soft taste that I enjoy. The jasmine is definitely noticable, which I like. The flavor compliments the tea nicely.

Holy sweet damn this is some friggin’ epic tea.

What the?!??!?!! Jeez, I didn’t expect this kind of sweet flavour. I liked the sound of it, the idea sounded very tempting and the blend turned out to be out-of-this-world. I’ve never really had much jasmine before but maaaan what a combination. The white tea is a beautiful balance with the flavoursome and fragrant jasmine, and I could drink this all the time. It is very smooth, just fantastic. I’m gonna order a truckload more of this.
