This teas takes the awesomeness of two characters and blends them together to makes something even more awesome. Or at least it takes the essence of the two characters. It’s not literally tea made from Amy and Rory Pond.

Thank you Thain of Buckland for this lovely tin. Thain blended this and came up with a lovely chai. It is nice a full bodied chai. There are some lovely notes of orange and vanilla that I don’t always expect from a chai.

The combination of the honeybush and rooibos make it a low caffeine tea which is very nice. I like a full bodied chai but I don’t want too much caffeine. This really hits the spot!

So often the fandom teas are a bit disappointing but I have to say this is very enjoyable and reflects the personality of The Ponds (Rory and Amy from Doctor Who). I’ll be watching for more blends by Thain of Buckland AKA Laur Marriott. (I also enjoyed her Romana blend.) Thanks for a whole tin of this Thain!

This reminds me of the Rooibos Chai I get from Trader Joe’s. This is a good blend of honeybush, rooibos, and ceylon. It has a nice spicy kick that some chais fail to reach

This smells deliciously of orange and vanilla. And, oh, it tastes good. The honeybush and Ceylon blend into each other for a very mild and soothing base. Happily I can’t taste any weirdness from the rooibos. Surprisingly, the gingerbread and vanilla are the most prominent of the flavors, with maybe a hint of orange here and there. The flavors are subtle, but definitely add something to the blend. This is the sort of tea I could drink every day. It’s unique enough to stand out from the crowd, but simple enough to be homey and comfortable. Defintely suits the Ponds. I do wonder where the gingerbread flavor comes from. I didn’t realize Adagio had a gingerbread flavored tea. I’ll have to check it out.

I haven’t had the gingerbread tea separately, but most people compare it to a weaker Masala Chai. Have you tried steeping it at different lengths? When I reviewed it with my friends, one of them said they wanted more bitterness, so we steeped it longer the second time which gave it more of an orange flavor. Thanks for the review. I made the teas publicly viewable on Adagio as well.

I’ll have to try that, since I’ll definitely be drinking this again. It was delightful as is, though.
