From Adagio Custom Blends

It’s Romanadvoratrelundar to you, but if her name’s too long, just call her Fred… or Romana if you’re the doctor. The better half of the Doctor, Romana not only has a quirky personality and better fashion sense, but she’s also smarter. She even made a sonic so impressive that the Doctor offered to trade his for hers.

A very interesting taste for a unique blend of ingredients. Also an odd color in my cup. I’m glad the hibiscus isn’t quite as strong as I thought it was going to be. The vanilla adds a nice touch. Now I’m going to go to the store with my daughter and get ear wax removal drops because this is driving me crazy and going to work like this would make me crabby.

This was really tasty. It was a cup full of vanilla and berries, with a touch of the woodiness of the honeybush and just a hint of black tea. I do think the flavor could be a little stronger, so I’ll probably try this again with more leaf. I usually brew honeybush teas with two teaspoons of leaves per cup, but I always try the recommended parameters first. I didn’t expect to love the blend of black tea and honeybush as much as I do in both this tea and “The Ponds”. I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future.

I received this delicious tea from ThainofBuckland. This is a custom Doctor Who themed tea blended by our very own Thain. Romana has always been one of my favorite companions. This appears to be Romana ll, the cute one, rather than Romana l, the elegant one. Romana ll had such great chemistry with the Doctor. (In real life they were actually married for a brief time.)

Oh ya… back to the tea. Lovely berry scent. Mild honeybush and ceylon base. I was worried about the rose hips and hibiscus because they can often ruin a tea for me, but they are mild and blend just right with the berries. I was expecting more sourness with cranberries, rosehips and hibiscus but I am pleased that there are no mouth puckering moments. I did sweeten it with vanilla stevia which may account for the lack of sourness. The berries are a more general berry flavor than exactly a blueberry. The ingredients say ‘forest berries flavor’ and I’m not sure what forest berries are but these are nice. I really enjoyed this and think I would drink it frequently when I want a fruity tea.

Thanks for the review. I like how this blend turned out as well. It does have a vanilla base as well, so I think it cuts the fruit flavor well.
