From Adagio Custom Blends, Cara McGee

A complex blend that is outwardly very aggressive. Treated right however, this tea will prove to be calming and maybe even a bit sweet.

Inspired by MTV’s Teen Wolf. Made purely for my own enjoyment.

Created by: Cara McGee

Ingredients: gunpowder, black tea, natural creme flavor, natural caramel flavor, cocoa nibs, natural chocolate flavor, natural vanilla flavor, aniseed

Steeping Instructions: Steep at 200° for 2 mins

wow does THIS blend suit the character perfectly!

earthy gunpowder mixed with creme and aniseed.
like an old leather jacket.
it has an edge. and a mystery is just built into the uniqueness of the blend that will probably get me drinking it more often than i would have ever expected.

OMGsrsly

Ooo. This one is going on my list. :D

Hold up just a moment. It’s not even 11:30!? But I’ve been studying for hourrrsssssss.
I seriously feels like I’ve gone through like 4 hours of stuff, but no. I’ve only been here for 2 and it’s not even noon.

Midterm at 2, gotta start drinking all my teas before then so I can WAKE UP. HA.

Derek Hale today, another blend from shmiracles. Also another fandom blend that I’m not actually a part of the fandom! Teen Wolf, right? Well, all I know about that show is that there are… wolves? And they’re of teen-age? Well, that’s what I’m assuming. And Derek was the pretty one.. or was it Stiles? Or they’re both pretty? I DON’T EVEN KNOW OKAY.

But Derek smells goooood. Smells like a tea I would enjoy :)
Chocolate teas do seem to appeal to me a bit more now. And I kinda am sorta in love with gunpowder in blends :)

I was going to steep it for the 2 minutes it says on adagio, but it started smelling like it was going to turn bitter so I stopped it after just a minute and a half WHICH IS GOOD BECAUSE THIS TEA IS GOOD.
Ahh it smells like… tea. Not as chocolatey and sweet as it is dry since the gunpowder took over for a bit.

okay. am lazy. going back to studying

It’s a grumpy cat kinda day!

Here are romantic dubstep mixes: http://luvstep.com/

I am over it, ppl. I miss hanging out with teenagers. I want to do yoga on the beach.

OMGsrsly

Oh geez. Those mixes made me think of this.

How, why, I have NO idea. And now I have the album playing in the background.

oddree

I’ve never seen that video! So early 80s and trippy. I watched soooo much MTV in 1984, too. Thanks for the link!

OMGsrsly

I grew up with that album. My parents have a very interesting taste in music. :)

This was a good strong tea that didn’t have the taste of a stronger tea. It has the caffeine kick of an english breakfast but the mildness of a darjeeling. And I happen to think that it tastes like marshmallows.

I really love it.

Cream in a tea? Unexpected and delightful, just like how I think of this character. Now, it does have some strong characteristics with the gunpowder and black tea, but the unexpected addition of the cream in the mix was successful and really blended well with the vanilla. I got more of the chocolate BEFORE brewing but that was just fine with me!!

Another fandom blend from Sil, sent to her by Shmiracles.
This was fairly tasty also, but although I enjoy gunpowder, I don’t care for it as much is flavored blends. I prefer it plain. So to me, that took away from the cup a bit.
On the other hand, I love the Tiger Eye blend, so that was a plus.

thanks for this one shmiracles I actually was pleasantly surprised and happy with this one. An earthy blend with just a bit of sweetness going on to carry you through the cup. The vanilla balanced it out well and made for a nice cup of tea!

Caramel flavoured gunpowder + black tea. At least, that’s what I can tell. The gunpowder was really spinachy for me tonight, and really… caramel is not a sauce I’d put on my spinach.

Otherwise, this tea is fun. And I love caramel. So I’ve drunk it all.

Thanks so much, Shmiracles! I think I’m almost through all the samples you gave me oh so long ago. :)

Caramel spinach…something tells me that might not be the next big thing lol

OMGsrsly

You never know! Someone might decide that spinach and caramel should be The Dish for a fancy restaurant! ;)

VariaTEA

Or the next bacon and maple syrup…sweet and savory coming together to be friends :P

OMGsrsly

Except this is sweet and… grassy. At least bacon is meaty and satisfying!

VariaTEA

haha I was thinking that as I wrote it but you never know what people grab on to. Perhaps the use of spinach might lead people to believe there is health benefits to the pair just making it part of the health food trend. lol

OMGsrsly

Oh that would be entertaining. But now all I can think of is a spinach Creme Caramel. Which… Hmm…
