Tea of the Month for April 2019

I was surprisingly excited for this one given that I generally don’t care for chamomile. Maybe it was just the idea of a pavlova tea? Anyhow – brewed it up tonight and it’s a surprise hit for me! The chamomile doesn’t taste gross at all, though I can tell it’s in there, and the rest is a delightfully creamy, light strawberry. With just enough green oolong flavour to make me happy. It’s really nice, actually – a strawberries and cream oolong, with just a bit of something different (chamomile) to make it stand out. Probably not a tea I’d seek out often, but it ticked all the boxes tonight! (Unlike last night’s string of sadness.)
ETA: I’m sitting here smelling this delicious dessert smell and realized it’s my empty mug of this tea. It smells like vanilla whipped cream and I could sit here smelling it all night.

Finished a mug of this during the last chunk of my work day; I was sort of dreading this last cup but it turned out better than expected. As much as there was a chamomile note I don’t dig (especially in the dregs of the mug) the taste today was actually mostly strawberry jam!! So, could have been a whole lot worse.
I’m still glad to finish this one off though.
