Samurai TTB #23

There was only about a tsp of this tea left in the bag, so I think my cup was under-leafed. I mainly tasted the white tea base with hints of vanilla and coconut. No lemon that I could discern.

From the Samurai TTB
A nice blend of coconut and vanilla. The vanilla brings out the toastiness of the coconut and I’m not getting lemon at all. It’s a coconut cream pie in a cup. An easygoing, relaxing brew.

Cold Brew Sipdown (1525)!

I just cannot get over how creamy and fatty this blend tastes – it’s like the perfect mashup of highly buttery soft coconut cream pie with fluffy whipped marshmallow and just a kiss of lemon. Perfectly named, delicious and rich while maintaining that light airy quality. I’ll miss this tea a lot – it’s pretty damn close to being the perfect Easter blend, though of course as I’m proving with this cold brew it is delicious year round.

Flavors: Coconut, Cream, Creamy, Lemon, Marshmallow

I’m surprised the coconut has held up for so long!

Creamy marshmallow and lemon…that’s my happy place!

For whatever reason, this was never a favourite despite having multiple hallmarks of one – coconut, vanilla, lemon. I’m trying (kind of) to finish off teas with coconut, though, so have grabbed it to work on a few times. My best guess is that I have some aversion to the white tea base, because I’m not sure what else it would be. However, it’s still an ok tea, just not a favourite.

Sipdown (230)

Another sample from Kittenna. Thank you!

This one is nice but not nearly as good as Lime Pear Fluff. This is much more subtle with flavors which allows the white tea to come out a bit more. Personally, I don’t love that but for some that could definitely be a positive.

Besides the white tea, I get coconut and lemon. Faint and sweet lemon as opposed to the actual fruit flavor or cleaning supplies. The softer lemon blends nicely with the coconut which is not lotiony but also not overly sweet or creamy. Again, this might be a positive for some but I would prefer a bit more.

All in all, it is okay but this is a tea I am okay not being able to have more of. Thank you for the chance to try it though, Kittenna!
