P is for… Plum Oatmeal Squares.

I remember vaguely that I didn’t love this one before, but I never wrote a note and couldn’t remember why I didn’t really like it. Tasting it now, there’s this tang that is making it feel thin. My husband says he can taste the oatmeal, but I don’t taste oatmeal OR plum.

Sipdown (808)!

Finished off today, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the last cup. It was just a little bit too artificial and perfume-y tasting, without nearly enough oatmeal to balance out the intensity of the flavour. Also, just not plum…

Oh well.

I think this tea steeped up a dark green, which was kind of weird. The flavour was ok, but if I recall correctly, somewhat strong. I think I was expecting something a bit more subtle like Butiki’s two plum teas.

This tea is one of my oldest and while it shows it’s age, it’s not particularly bad. It’s a touch astringent for my tastes. Astringent and with a fruity flavour that is bordering on liquor from age. And some pastry notes. It’s alright.
