Sipdown! 304/365!

Actual sipdown this time. A decent cup of creamy, pleasant rooibos.

My first order from this company, and I am excited for all these flavoured teas!
This is a good rooibos, sweet with flavour of coconut prominently. The woodsy, nutty rooibos base is present with a hint of vanilla and maple . It is a smooth cuppa and i am enjoying this, surfing Steepster on a cold winters day all snuggled on the couch.

Sipdown (138)

This was mostly a sweet, woody rooibos. This reminds me of DAVIDs Oh Canada a little bit and consequently, I may have preferred it cold brewed. Nonetheless, it was nothing to write home about so this isn’t a sad goodbye. It’s always nice to try something new though :)

Evol Ving Ness

My experience too, more or less.

Thank goodness. Whenever I have a not-so-great experience, there is always a moment where I worry whether it’s just because of how I made the tea so it is comforting to know when it’s not just me.

Evol Ving Ness

Nope, not just you. If I recall, it wasn’t terrible, but certainly not one that I need to repeat.

I’ve been trying to expand my collection of herbal teas recently, so I ordered several rooibos blends from A Quarter to Tea this week. This particular tea is nice, but it didn’t blow me away. It has a soft, creamy vanilla flavor with a hint of coconut. (I’m not really picking up on any maple.) The rooibos base isn’t harsh or medicinal, but I wish the flavoring could be a bit stronger.

This tea is fine. A mild flavoured rooibos that reminds me vaguely of DT Birthday Cake with the slightest bit of maple and coconut.

I am not quite sure whether the maple is really there or whether it was absorbed from other teas in transit. This is from the batch of teas that spent a lot of time packaged up together.

I like it, and I will drink it. But I won’t need to order it again. Especially with the sad state of cross-border shopping from this side of the border.

vanilla coconut rooibos. mostly this is a creamy rooibos to me. it’s not bad..but it’s nothing to write home about. there’s nothing wrong with this, and for those who dislike that really woody rooibos, this tea is NOT that sort of rooibos. but i want more than just a creamy sort of tea when i make an evening tea :) thanks dexter!
